As a Dedicated Electronic Communications Group (ECG) Specialist, you will utilize your growing expertise to champion our private client services investors as well as our new clients interacting with Schwab for their first time, personal financial goals, working as the first point of contact via phone, live chat/email, or both.  As a dedicated specialist, you will provide market insight and one-on-one assistance to help our clients with our unbiased approach to navigating the markets and provide online research and commentary on current market conditions and investing fundamentals. While working in a dynamic environment, you will leverage your passion for client service and financial service expertise to impact on clients’ lives.

You will have the opportunity to develop skillsets including fundamental and technical trading and securities mechanics, while also expanding your knowledge on key areas of industry and wealth management. This can include hands-on training with managed products and robo-advising tools, further licensing aimed at developing future leaders and advice/guidance roles, as well as additional training in our specialized client segment. If you hold client service to the highest standard, have a passion for continuous learning and development, and are eager to share market and economic knowledge with clients on a highly engaged, specialized team, this role could be for you. 

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications: 

• Series 7 and 63 or 66 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in Financial Services and/or Brokerage Services 
• Series 66 or 9/10; or willingness to acquire
• Advanced market knowledge and trading experience; ability to proactively discuss trading topics and appropriate solutions with clients 
• Advanced written and/or oral communication skills and ability to deepen client relationships through phone or chat interactions 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy while adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines 
• Ability to ask appropriate questions to clearly understand the client’s needs, using EQ when responding, and selecting language and examples tailored to the specific experience level of the client 
• Collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team environment 
• Practical time management & communication skills, as well as professionalism, and a strong work ethic 

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
