Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) is part of the Corporate Risk Management (CRM) department that forms the second line of defense at Charles Schwab. EORM enables The Charles Schwab Corporation’s (CSC) purpose and vision by governing and continually improving enterprise and operational risk programs, including effectively challenging business processes to increase understanding and awareness of enterprise and operational risks and improve related risk-based decision making.
Within EORM, the Programs, Monitoring, & Insights (PMI) Team provides program leadership for Operational Losses, Scenario Analysis, Emerging Risk and performs Operational Risk Monitoring and Insight.
Role Overview:
This manager role will support the Programs, Monitoring, & Insights team’s risk programs and recurring work. The role offers exposure to multiple risk programs and the opportunity to build practical experience across operational loss, risk monitoring, scenario analysis, and emerging risk activities. Primary focus areas include supporting monthly and quarterly operational loss oversight and analysis routines, completing risk monitoring activities, helping manage the team’s backlog and planning cycles, and maintaining reliable documentation, records, SharePoint content, and team materials. The role will also support Scenario Analysis and Emerging Risk program work as needed. Everyone on the team, including this individual, helps drive process improvement and efficiency efforts using AI and advanced automation tools, building on practical work already underway to make processes more effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly operational loss control activities, including preparation, evidence collection, quality review, follow-up tracking, and documentation of results.
- Support operational loss data routines by reviewing outputs, validating completeness and accuracy, documenting exceptions, and coordinating timely resolution with team members and business partners.
- Maintain the team’s work backlog and planning routines, helping connect priorities, dependencies, and improvement opportunities to roadmap items that support the team’s broader strategy.
- Help assemble recurring risk monitoring materials, ensuring content is accurate, organized, and delivered within established timelines.
- Maintain the ORGO SharePoint, record retention processes, and the team document library in coordination with team members to support reliable access, version control, and adherence to documentation expectations.
- Assist with administration of the Scenario Analysis and Emerging Risk programs, including materials management, meeting support, status tracking, and follow-up coordination.
- Help document procedures, process steps, and control activities in a clear and repeatable manner to support consistency, continuity, and audit readiness.
- Work with team members and business partners to execute program deliverables, escalate issues appropriately, and help ensure recurring work supports broader program objectives.
- Support team initiatives that improve processes and create efficiencies through practical use of AI and automation tools.

What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Familiarity with risk management functions, governance routines, controls, or operational risk processes.
- Experience supporting program administration, recurring routines, status tracking, or meeting materials.
- A track record of managing recurring deliverables, tracking follow-ups, and improving repeatable processes.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience maintaining procedures, evidence, records, SharePoint content, or document libraries is preferred.
