Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions organization offers industry-leading wealth management services to both retail and registered investment advisor clients. The team is responsible for Schwab’s wealth management strategy while delivering differentiated experiences through solutions such as Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and related digital advice offerings.
Within SIP Risk & Governance, this role supports the team’s day-to-day oversight and operational activities that help maintain a strong risk and control environment. This manager will manage key routines including reporting oversight, maintaining procedure documents, shared mailbox management, and other operational processes, while also supporting broader risk programs across the team. The role partners closely with business, operations, service, product, and technology teams to monitor activities, coordinate follow-up on issues and requests, and help promote consistency, transparency, and efficiency across risk and operational processes. This role will also help support the team’s automation, data, and AI-related efforts by coordinating activities, improving reporting and operational workflows, and helping ensure new capabilities align with governance expectations and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day oversight and operational activities that support the team’s priorities, including recurring reporting oversight, and issue follow-up.
- Manage shared mailboxes and intake channels that support the team’s workflow, ensuring timely triage, tracking, escalation, and resolution of requests, questions, and risk-related items.
- Support broader risk programs by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, and maintaining documentation.
- Create and maintain procedures, job aids, and reference materials that support consistent execution and strengthen oversight routines.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve team efficiency through better process discipline, documentation, and operating routines.
- Use reporting and data analysis to identify themes, monitor trends, surface issues, and summarize insights for leadership and partners.
What you’re good at

- Documenting processes clearly through procedures, job aids, reference materials, and governance support documentation.
- Applying sound judgment when handling requests, escalations, or risk-related matters, including knowing when to elevate issues for additional review.
- Working with data, reporting tools, or structured information to help improve transparency, monitoring, and operational decision-making.
- Learning and adapting in evolving areas such as AI, automation, and data governance, while supporting implementation in a controlled and practical way.
What you have
- 2+ years of oversight reporting required
- 2+ years experience SIP product experience
- A curious and analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems thoughtfully, assess issues objectively, and make sound decisions.
- Experience in risk management, governance, operations, business management, product support, or a related function within financial services.
- Experience managing shared operational intake channels such as Outlook shared mailboxes, including triage, assignment, tracking, and follow-up.
- Experience supporting recurring reporting, oversight routines, operational controls, or governance processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information, highlight key points, and communicate observations clearly.
- Experience creating and maintaining procedures, job aids, process documentation, and other materials that support consistent execution.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deliverables, and follow-up actions simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy, consistency, quality control, and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint; experience with operational reporting, dashboards, or risk-related reporting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a broad partner network in a matrixed environment.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to supporting a high-quality, well-controlled, and transparent operating environment.
- Experience supporting or working with automation tools, workflow improvements, or technology-enabled process enhancements is preferred.

- The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting wealth management, digital advice, advised products, or related business activities within a regulated financial services environment. Success in this role will come from strong execution, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams to support consistent oversight, operational discipline, and broader team objectives.
