The Retirement Distribution Operations (RDO) organization within Retirement Operations supports the processing of distributions and tax reporting corrections from individual and small business retirement accounts for retail and advisor clients. As the business continues to evolve, data and analytics are critical to understanding outcomes and measuring the impact of change initiatives across Retirement Operations.

In this role on the Retirement Operations Support Services (ROSS) team, you will analyze large data sets, validate results, and translate findings into clear insights that demonstrate process outcomes and operational impacts. You will support both recurring and ad hoc analytical needs, including initiative success measurement and cost‑benefit analysis. This role requires strong SQL skills, familiarity with a wide range of Schwab data sources, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, timely analytics.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and validate SQL queries to support reporting and ad hoc analytical requests
  • Analyze and validate data to measure process outcomes and operational impacts
  • Perform cost‑benefit and efficiency analysis using operational data
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation, reconciliation, and documentation
  • Enable self‑service reporting and support partners with data interpretation
  • Develop analyses using customer, transaction, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that highlight and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage multiple analytical requests while meeting deadlines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
  • 1–3 years of experience in Financial Services or Operations; retirement experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with large operational data sets (e.g., cashiering, myQ, client interaction data)
  • Experience with Tableau; Python and Excel macros preferred
  • Previous experience with Celonis
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
