The Sr. Manager, Retirement RIA Product and Sales Initiatives is an integral member of the Workplace Retirement Business Service’s Product and Strategy Team. This position is focused on accelerating new business within the Retirement Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel through the development of innovative product strategies, advisor-centric tools, and targeted sales enablement programs. The Sr. Manager will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure advisors are empowered with effective solutions that drive exceptional results for retirement plan sponsors and participants. This role requires up to 20% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement Leadership: Develop, implement, and optimize sales enablement strategies specifically designed for the retirement RIA channel, equipping advisors with the knowledge and resources to thrive in a competitive marketplace.
  • Advisor Success Strategies:
  • Design and host specialized training sessions focusing on evolving fiduciary standards, regulatory updates, and best practices in retirement plan consulting.
  • Curate playbooks and case studies highlighting successful retirement plan strategies and innovative plan design.
  • Create practical onboarding guides and reference materials tailored for new and seasoned RIA advisors expanding into the retirement space.
  • Deliver regular webinars and workshops on leveraging technology solutions, proposal tools, benchmarking analytics, and plan health diagnostics.

Essential Tools for Retirement Advisors:

  • Provide access to digital proposal generators and custom plan comparison platforms for quick, data-driven client recommendations.
  • Distribute detailed regulatory checklists, compliance timelines, and fiduciary duty support documents.
  • Offer competitive intelligence dashboards and RIA marketplace trend reports to guide informed decision-making.
  • Product Strategy Development: Enhance retirement product offerings by integrating marketplace trends, advisor and client feedback, and insights from competitive analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with sales, marketing, technology, and internal channel teams to design integrated programs that align with business goals and deliver exceptional advisor and client experiences.
  • Program Management: Lead and manage strategic initiatives that facilitate the growth and retention of retirement RIA business, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Analytics and Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all enablement efforts, using data-driven insights to recommend enhancements and ensure advisors remain at the forefront of the market.
  • RIA Advocacy: Champion the perspectives and needs of RIAs, translating field feedback into actionable improvements and supporting internal teams in serving this audience more effectively.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in retirement solutions, sales enablement, or RIA channel support, including at least 5 years of direct retirement or RIA channel sales experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with retirement Trust & Custody Services, Third Party Administrator (TPA) marketplace, and recordkeeping and retirement broker dealer.
  • Deep understanding of the RIA marketplace, retirement plan products, and industry regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales enablement resources and advisor support tools for the retirement marketplace.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across teams and partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Active Series 6,7 license required
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as needed.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
