Schwab Advisor Services, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., is the leading provider of custody, trading, technology, and practice management to registered investment advisors (RIAs). Schwab Advisor Services serves over 16,000 independent advisory firms that custody over $5 trillion in assets with Schwab.

This role sits within AS Data & Analytics (ASDA) in Advisor Services. The team delivers data-driven insights, enables accountability through reporting, and partners closely with business leaders to support decision-making across the organization.

Within ASDA, the Platform Analytics function focuses on internal performance and productivity analytics across trading, risk, sales, and digital. This role plays a key leadership role in helping Advisor Services operate more effectively and scale with growing demand.

What you will do:

The Director, Business Data & Analytics is a people leader responsible for leading the Platform Analytics function and delivering internal performance and productivity analytics to measure results and inform decision-making across trading, risk, sales, and digital. We’re looking for someone who is highly analytical, comfortable operating across a broad set of stakeholders, and experienced in building and leading high-performing teams.

  • Lead and develop the Platform Analytics team; set direction, priorities, and performance expectations aligned to business outcomes
  • Partner with senior and executive leaders to align analytics priorities with business objectives and drive accountability through data
  • Oversee the development of dashboards, reporting, and analytical solutions supporting both day-to-day operations and broader business priorities
  • Partner with ASDA Enablement and Schwab Data to leverage shared data environments and scalable solutions
  • Establish standards for quality, consistency, and governance of analytics, while driving continuous improvement in how work is delivered and scaled

What you have


  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics or data-driven roles, including 3+ years of people leadership
  • 5+ years of experience developing in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • 5+ years of experience using data and analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python)
  • Experience supporting analytics in trading, risk, sales, or digital environments
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and drive outcomes across a broad functional scope

Preferred competencies:

  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar)
  • Experience in the financial services industry and/or a B2B environment
  • Experience leading data and analytics across a team or broader function
  • Familiarity with enterprise data environments, federated operating models, and scalable data platforms
