Our Opportunity:
Corporate Vendor Management at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor relationship management process to maximize vendor performance and value. Corporate Vendor Management identifies, mitigates, monitors, and manages vendor risk; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Team Manager, Product Management (PL), serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and agile development teams, ensuring that product initiatives align with strategic goals and deliver maximum value. This role is responsible for partnering with stakeholders and the Product Owner team to define and prioritize the product backlog, translate business needs into actionable user stories, and drive the successful delivery of digital products and services across CVM.

Typical responsibilities will include:
- Product Vision & Strategy
- Collaborate with business leaders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Align product goals with corporate objectives and customer needs.
- Manage discovery efforts for the team to vet new ideas through formal and informal research with target customers.
- Backlog Management
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and prioritized.
- Write clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Continuously refine backlog items based on feedback and changing priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a primary liaison between business units, customers, and STS development teams.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder reviews and feedback sessions.
- Communicate product progress, risks, and dependencies effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with key business partners; regularly collaborate with SMEs and key partners to ensure holistic product design.
- Innovate on UX and process improvements, aligning what is possible to what is needed.
- Agile Team Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Make real-time decisions to unblock development and ensure sprint goals are met.
- Lead through influence and value-driven delivery for the customer.
- Coach, mentor and lead direct report, to bring incremental capacity and capability to the CVM product owner team.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use analytics, customer feedback, and market research to inform product decisions.
- Monitor KPIs and product performance to guide future enhancements.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a product owner, product manager or similar discipline.
- Passion for leveraging technology to meet and exceed business needs and drive change for stakeholders.
- Curiosity and drive to learn - interested in learning about new technologies and solutions.
- Ability to research, design and document complex user requirements into development objectives.
- Advocate for the end-user by ensuring the product delivers real value.
- Ensure end results are of the highest quality with a quantifiable business benefit, and all activities and efforts are consistent with Schwab policies and guidelines.
- Ability to quickly learn operational processes across CVM’s core functions (including planning and risk assessment, contracting, performance monitoring, termination and offboarding, corporate cards and travel, etc), in order to understand data and analytics needs, identify shortfalls, and foster increased efficiencies.
- Adopt a challenger mindset to push team innovation on solutions and features.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences.
- Strong and demonstrated collaboration skills across complex process domains and cross-functional teams.
- Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
