Identity and access management (IAM) technologies and business processes enable the creation, maintenance, and use of digital identity - ensuring that the right people gain access to the right materials and records at the right time. The IAM program serves the needs of Schwab by implementing IAM best practices via technologies and methods that improve convenience and ease of access for workforce members while safeguarding records and other key data.
The IAM Access Risk and Controls (ARC) team if focused on the validation and continuous operating effectiveness of centralized and distributed IAM processes, including establishing and leveraging data assurance processes for continuous monitoring, process improvement, and risk mitigation for Schwab.
The Senior Specialist, Security Analytics & Operations role will be designing and developing
automation and analytics solutions for assessing and monitoring access risks on behalf of
our cybersecurity organization. In addition, this person will establish partnerships with
multi-organizational teams to identify new analytic or automation use cases, increase
awareness of established capabilities, and drive risk mitigation and process improvement
derived from their analytics intelligence.
You will:
Workflow Analysis: Review existing manual processes to pinpoint bottlenecks,
repetitive tasks, and error-prone procedures. Expand and maintain control
implementation platforms across a growing technology landscape through your
expertise in control assessment automation.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address issues in existing automated systems to
determine the causes of failures or suboptimal performance.
Feasibility Studies: Assess which processes are most appropriate for automation to
maximize return on investment (ROI). Excel at scaling automation programs across a
large organization and its related applications.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage in consultation with team members to identify
requirements and provide tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain automation solutions that align application onboarding
and standard access control programs to automate repetitive tasks and connect
different software systems.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management, or automation experience.
- Advanced knowledge of automation tools, e.g. Power Platform, Alteryx and/or UIPath, in
- an enterprise.
- Able to quickly learn new technology and utilize a variety of data and systems to
- proactively identify solutions to improve processes.
- Demonstrated experience working within a complex and matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven work ethic with a high level of integrity to build trust with our team and internal
- partners.
- Collaborative work style with demonstrated success in a team environment.
- Effective communicator, problem-solver, team member and results-focused individual.
- Strong research and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Alteryx and/or UIPath in an enterprise.
- Expertise in other automation tools such as Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Apps and/or Power Automate.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
