The Schwab Chairman’s Circle team directly and exclusively services Schwab’s most affluent clients. A professional on the Schwab Chairman’s Circle team will serve our Ultra High Net Worth client base directly and in partnership with a variety of business partners while working collaboratively with peers. SCC professionals primarily serve in an inbound call role and are expected to build client relationships by providing a world class service experience for each client who contacts us. Relationship management in this role will require a comprehensive and curated approach to each client based on his/her respective needs. While the role primarily serves our UNHW clients, this also entails supporting the Financial Consultants, Wealth Strategists, and other business partners who serve the same client base.
What you are good at
- Manage workflow efficiently and engage with clients and business partners while providing world class service
- Drive client retention through individualized interactions and relationship building in order mitigate attrition risk
- Maintain strong and consistent communication with clients and as well as internal business partners, including branches, leadership, operations, peers, etc. as necessary through written and verbal correspondence, depending on the channel of choice
- Engage in introductory calls with newly enrolled clients and their FCs to educate clients about the team’s role and how SCC can meet their needs on an ongoing basis
- Provide SCC clients with the tools and information necessary to accomplish their goals; proactively contact clients and FCs regarding events that may impact or be of interest to them
- Demonstrate superior understanding and ability to explain a variety of simple and complex trading/operational concepts to clients as well as internal business partners
- Partner within and across the organization proactively to ensure a meaningful and positive overall service experience while keeping a solutions-focused mindset for the sake of process improvement
- Understand, keep up with, and abide by all Schwab policies and procedures to ensure the mitigation of all varieties of risk
- Exercise independent decision-making ability with agility and accuracy when transacting in client accounts and placing trades
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required:
- Series 7 and 63/66 required. Series 9/10 (or willing to obtain within 180 days of hire)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, with at least 3 years in finance
- Strong track record in and passion to consistently provide an exceptional client experience with the ability to anticipate and resolve problems under your own initiative
- Ability to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful experience that is aimed at providing a white glove and seamless experience for clients and business partners
- Ability to ask appropriate clarifying questions to clearly understand the client need and intent
- Ability to support and facilitate positive relationships between the client and Schwab by building and fostering internal partnerships
- Superior communication (written and verbal), presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Superlative trading acumen in a variety of different domains and strong knowledge of financial markets
- In-depth knowledge of trading strategies (i.e. Not Held, derivatives, special handling, margins, order types, etc.)
- Simple and complex derivatives strategies (i.e. spreads, hedging, straddles, rollouts, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of managed products, account types, operational procedures, and risk mitigation
- Ability to identify potential risk situations and take action to mitigate risk in a timely and effective manner

- Strong sense of ownership to support our clients through first call resolution while being efficient and mindful of time constraints on the client, peers, and business partners
- Initiative to create change through process improvement, training, and streamlining functions
- Perform as part of a team while putting the focus on providing the best possible client experience
- Demonstrate a solutions-focused mindset and understanding that there is not a “one size fits all” approach
- Flexibility and potential to travel for branch/client introductions on a limited basis
- Ensure there is a plan in place to service your clients while out of the office
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or language incentive opportunities.
