Schwab is seeking intelligent, passionate and driven individuals to join the ranks of the Finance Technology solution delivery team. The candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality technology planning, installation, administration and tuning in support of a broad range of internal clients ranging from Central Finance to Regulatory Reporting, Treasury and Risk.

The Developer is a motivated, self-driven individual, well versed in business process, product configuration and troubleshooting with an emphasis on feature leverage for optimal process control and performance.

  • Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define strategy and scope of software requirements
  • Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test-driven development to achieve the highest quality in software delivery
  • Identify technology risk early and establish mitigation plans
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of cross-functional teams in a fast-pace Agile environment

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years business analysis experience in an Enterprise Production environment using 3rd party software products
  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Engineering Or related degree and/or practical experience
  • Experience with frameworks such as .Net, .Net Core, and Blazer
  • Experience developing/managing REST and SOAP-based Web Service API(s)
  • Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases (SQL Server, ORACLE, BigQuery)
  • Solid Experience with ETL, Reporting and workflow tools (E.g. SSIS, SSRS, Alteryx or similar)
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk etc
  • Experience working with mainframe applications
  • Strong analytical & debugging skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot environmental issues
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices, lean methodologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Agile Development Practices
  • Familiarity with Finance and Regulatory terminology and Reporting
  • Hands-on experience with process diagnosis and modeling or data and system modeling
  • Strong meeting planning and facilitation skills for meeting and requirements management, workshop planning and execution
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cross-functional team building and negotiation
  • Comfort with new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems preferred
  • Experience with Bamboo /Bitbucket stack and distributed computing highly desired
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong problem-solving, logic and analytical skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to focus with close attention to detail
  • Excellent listening and reflective skills; excellent verbal and writing abilities; proven two-way communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn by reading, listening, observing, and by doing

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
