The Corporate Strategy team is an internal strategy group that acts as a trusted advisor to executives and business leaders by providing thought partnership, strategic analysis, and insights. The group leads several key functions for Schwab to support informed decision making, including leading key strategic initiatives for our executives, maintaining perspectives on broader industry trends and Schwab’s competitive landscape, and supporting the annual corporate strategic planning cycle. Corporate Strategy supports the Board, C-suite, and senior leaders, and is responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful contributions across a range of high-level strategic projects.
A Senior Real Estate Strategy Manager is responsible for driving key strategic initiatives and insights across a range of topics. This role works individually and, in a team setting with business partners, to develop seating strategies that facilitate growth and align real estate decisions and broader business objectives. The senior manager will perform data-driven analysis, synthesize large quantities of information to generate insights, and contribute recommendations for strategy development that will drive sustained growth for Schwab.
The group is one of the main intake valves for high caliber talent at Schwab and provides members with an unparalleled opportunity to define and work on Schwab’s most critical strategic opportunities while gaining visibility among Schwab’s senior leadership.
What you will do
- Strategic Planning: Plan and execute workstreams for large, complex projects that support the company’s business goals, including restack occupied seating, space expansion or consolidation.
- Research and Reporting: Prepare materials and lead meetings with internal stakeholders (including senior and executive leadership) and executive leadership).
- CRE Data and Systems: Compilation, review, and analysis of CRE data to evaluate and recommend seating options for business units, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and compliance with organizational policies. Maintain a working knowledge of CRE basic systems and queue.
- Project Leadership: Direct internal Strategy and Property teams in executing restacks and other Adhoc projects impacting workspace allocation. Ensure adherence to project timelines, identify and address obstacles, and establish effective solutions to facilitate successful project completion.
- Relationship Management: Provide support to all business groups regarding their workspace requirements. Collaborate closely with enterprise business liaisons and senior leadership to address space planning and growth needs, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of each group’s operational functions.
- Team / People Leadership: Demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members by providing guidance and support with professionalism and patience. Foster an environment conducive to knowledge transfer and skill-building to advance Schwab’s organizational growth objectives.
- Communication: Primary point of contact for communications with business units and internal teams through all project work. Exercise professionalism and integrity in communications and actions, as well as prudent judgment in the handling of confidential strategic, financial, and other sensitive information.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified locations.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, Finance or related field.
- 7+ years of work experience in real estate strategy, portfolio management, or related roles.
- Schwab Corporate Real Estate experience
- Proven track record in developing and executing complex real estate strategies for large organizations.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Attention to details and comfortable with reading floorplans.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities
- Experience managing or leading cross-functional teams
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to diverse audiences
- Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and influence outcomes through partnerships
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in financial services
- Experience with manipulating Excel data
- The Ideal candidate should be able to adapt to changes and continue to progress in their work
