This role will manage the Client Reporting Risk Program (CCRP) team reporting to the Client Reporting CX manager

The CCRP Team resides within the Operational Services Group at Charles Schwab and is responsible for overseeing the risk program that covers regulatory client reporting documents, including but not limited to; Broker Dealer Statements and Trade Confirmations, Bank Statements, DAFgiving360, and Workplace Financial Solutions.

As the Sr Team Manager of the CCRP Team, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the CCRP governance structure and shape the future of regulatory communication controls across client reporting products
    • Lead cross-functional forums with Product, Compliance, Technology, Operations Risk and business partners to evaluate control performance, resolve risk findings, advance action plans, and strengthen oversight of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness for regulatory communications
    • Partner closely with Operations Risk and Control to oversee control changes, execution activities, audits, and remediation plans, while identifying opportunities to modernize and automate controls that improve regulatory adherence
  • Lead and develop the team responsible for executing regulatory communication controls, setting priorities, delegating work, and ensuring activities are aligned to the highest-risk and highest-impact outcomes
  • Drive transformation of the control environment by identifying, designing, and implementing modernized and automated controls, including AI-enabled capabilities, to improve detection, prevention, and monitoring of regulatory communication risk
  • Develop business cases that quantify ROI, risk reduction, compliance benefits, and operational impact of new control capabilities, and present recommendations to leadership to secure buy-in and prioritization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Strategy and Risk Management
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead large, cross-functional meetings and influence leadership decision making
  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing tasks and managing an ambiguous fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong understanding of Operations and Technology teams, and processes
  • Ability to develop and present business cases outlining ROI and associated risks to influence leadership
  • Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in problem solving with a growth mindset to ensure successful outcomes
  • Strong project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to proactively advance work (independently and with teams) to meet tight deadlines

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
