The Operational Services organization at Schwab partners with teams across the firm to deliver on service promises to Schwab clients. We are responsible for best-in-class service, protecting and safeguarding the assets of the firm and our clients, all while increasing scalability and efficiency.
As a Schwab Estate Services Senior Manager, Business Analysis, you will serve as a senior individual contributor advancing Estate Services within Schwab’s Operational Services Enterprise. This role is accountable for shaping and driving the business analysis agenda that supports operating model transformation, process standardization, digitization, risk reduction, and scale. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, influence cross-functional decisions, and partner across Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, Control, and service teams to deliver resilient, efficient, and client-centered outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for advancing the Estate Services business analysis agenda and translating business strategy into executable initiatives, operating model improvements, and measurable outcomes aligned to Operational Services priorities.
- Act as a strategic partner across Estate Services, Operational Services, Technology, Product, Risk, and Control functions to identify, prioritize, and deliver initiatives that improve scalability, strengthen the control environment, simplify workflows, and enhance client and advisor experiences during critical life events.
- Drive the intake, prioritization, and governance of a portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring tradeoff decisions are grounded in business value, risk mitigation, operational feasibility, and alignment to Schwab’s broader scale and modernization objectives.
- Shape and champion process standardization, digitization, and automation across the end-to-end estate servicing lifecycle to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, create operating leverage, and reserve employee capacity for higher-value client support.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to senior leaders on initiative progress, risks, dependencies, and value realization, and influence decisions on sequencing, resourcing, and execution across the Estate Services portfolio.
- Establish strong execution discipline by defining clear requirements, decision points, and success measures, while driving adoption efforts that ensure new processes and capabilities are operationalized effectively and sustainably.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Estate Services is required
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role in Operations is required
- Bachelor’s degree (4+ years) in finance, economics, business administration, or related area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment and brings strong judgment in navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional planning and execution across multiple in-flight initiatives, and to independently manage a portfolio of work tied to strategic business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience driving intake, prioritization, governance, and delivery disciplines in environments that require balancing client experience, risk, controls, capacity, and scale.
- Strong program and initiative leadership experience, with the ability to move work from concept through implementation while managing dependencies, risks, and change adoption across matrixed stakeholders.
- Experience presenting recommendations, progress, and tradeoffs to senior leaders, with comfort influencing decisions in director, managing director, and enterprise forums.
- Recognized for strong independent judgment, enterprise thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite, including Power Platform and Studio
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
