What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required qualifications:
- FINRA licenses:
- Series 7
- Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65)
- Series 9/10
- 3 years of experience in financial services (preferred in a registered investment advisor capacity)
- Strong track record in and passion to consistently provide an exceptional client experience with the ability to anticipate and resolve problems under your own initiative
- Ability to properly adhere to Schwab’s foundational education and advice policies and follow documentation guidelines for advice conversations, Reg BI, and DOL
- Acting in an elevated capacity as a MIS Subject Matter Expert (SME) while providing coaching to others on awareness and the importance of adhering to policies and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of Schwab’s managed account products, wealth management solutions, account types, operational procedures, and risk mitigation
- Ability to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful experience that is aimed at providing a white glove and seamless experience for clients and business partners
- Ability to ask appropriate clarifying questions to clearly understand the client’s need and intent and transition from service to advice
- Ability to support and facilitate positive relationships between the client and Schwab by building and fostering internal partnerships
- Superior communication (written and verbal), presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Superlative trading acumen in a variety of different domains and strong knowledge of financial markets
- In-depth knowledge of trading strategies (i.e. Not Held, derivatives, special handling, margins, order types, etc.), and simple and complex derivatives strategies (i.e. spreads, hedging, straddles, rollouts, etc.)
- Strong sense of ownership to support our clients through first call resolution while being efficient and mindful of time constraints on the client, peers, and business partners
- Initiative to create change through process improvement, training, and streamlining functions
- Perform as part of a team while putting the focus on providing the best possible client experience
- Demonstrate a solutions-focused mindset and understanding that there is not a “one size fits all” approach
- Flexibility and potential to travel for branch/client introductions on a limited basis
- Ensure there is a plan in place to service your clients while out of the office
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
