The Analytics Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data queries, metrics, and reporting
solutions that support business decision-making. This role writes optimized SQL queries to transform and structure
data into reliable report views and develops interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
The Analytics Developer partners with business stakeholders to translate requirements into accurate, scalable data
models and visualizations that provide clear insight into performance, trends, and key metrics. This role ensures data
integrity, consistency, and accessibility across reporting solutions while continuously improving reporting processes
and performance.
SQL Development & Data Modeling
Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to produce accurate and performant
reporting datasets.
Metric Definition & Governance
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, document, and standardize KPIs and metrics to ensure consistent
reporting across the organization.
Report & Dashboard Development
Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that deliver actionable insights to
leadership and operational teams.
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reporting
outputs.
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Monitor query and report performance, implement enhancements, and identify opportunities to automate or
streamline reporting processes.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in Power BI Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Analytics Product Management,
with experience supporting executive or enterprise level analytics.
• Demonstrated experience working on analytics products, including roadmap management, backlog
prioritization, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong working knowledge of agile delivery practices and tools such as JIRA.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including Power BI Service deployment, security, and workspace management,
Paginated report development, and Row level security
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches and compelling
data stories.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior and executive
audiences.
• Comfort operating in a fast paced, highly visible environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Financial services or large enterprise experience preferred.
• Experience writing SQL queries from scratch
