The Director, Clearing & Settlement Modernization and Transformation Strategy leads the strategic transformation of Clearing & Settlement to support business growth, scalability, risk reduction, and operational excellence. The role is accountable for developing and executing modernization strategies that eliminate legacy dependencies, streamline end-to-end processes, and enable the clearing and settlement of current and future products and services.

This is a newly created role. The Director will serve as the strategic and execution partner to the Clearing & Settlement leadership team, taking on much of the cross-functional program leadership, business case development, and strategy work that directors have carried alongside daily production. The Director will lead or support the organization’s most significant enterprise initiatives, including Broker Dealer Modernization (BDM), DTCC and OCC Modernization, Long/Short Strategy,  Options Overlay Strategy, Binary Options, CSIM initiatives, and Collateral Optimization, while ensuring the organization stays ready for evolving business, regulatory, market-structure, and client demands within a strong control environment.

What you'll do:

  • Own the Clearing & Settlement modernization roadmap: Define, sequence, and maintain one integrated transformation roadmap across all Clearing & Settlement units, aligned with firm strategy and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead strategic programs: Serve as the Clearing & Settlement lead for major enterprise initiatives such as BDM, Long/Short Strategy, CSIM projects, and Collateral Optimization.
  • Extend the directors’ capacity: Partner closely with the four Clearing & Settlement Directors to take on program leadership, requirements, business cases, and executive reporting so they can stay focused on running stable, well-controlled daily operations.
  • Design the future-state operating model: Establish future-state operating models and target-state processes that improve scalability, resiliency, straight-through processing, and consistency.
  • Build and grow a modernization discipline, processes and roadmap ownership: Build the Modernization & Transformation function over time, including hiring and developing a Senior Specialist, IT Product Management.
