The role requires deep subject‑matter expertise, strong executive presence, excellent judgment, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization. This role partners closely with senior business leaders, Compliance, Internal Audit, and corporate risk functions to support informed risk decision‑making and sustained fiduciary excellence.

- Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive, enterprise‑level SAM risk inventory, including current, emerging, strategic risk themes, and cross-committee inputs
- Evaluate and monitor material risks across SAM, including operational, compliance, governance, technology, data, vendor, and investment‑adjacent risk areas
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide effective challenge and risk input into SAM new, expanded, and modified product initiatives, technology implementations, and operating model changes, including evaluation of enterprise, operational, compliance, and emerging risk implications.
- Synthesize risk insights, thematic issues, and emerging trends across the three lines of defense to provide enterprise‑level risk perspectives, effective challenge, and decision‑useful reporting to senior management and governance committees.
- Prepare and deliver enterprise‑level risk reporting and analysis to senior leadership, Fund Board, SAM Risk Committees, CORC, and other governance bodies
- Partner with business stakeholders, Compliance, and Corporate first‑line risk management partners to oversee the SAM Conflicts of Interest (COI) inventory, including coordination of periodic updates, identification and assessment of conflicts, tracking of new or evolving COIs, and execution of the annual review process.
- Partner with business leaders and first‑line risk owners to strengthen risk identification, control design, and issue management practices
- Support deep‑dive reviews of key business processes to assess risk exposure, control effectiveness, and opportunities to enhance the control environment
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the three lines of defense, including Corporate ERM, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional risk initiatives and governance projects impacting SAM
- Act as a role model for risk culture, reinforcing accountability, transparency, and proactive risk management across SAM
