and Reporting (ROAR) team partners with business leaders to deliver scalable, well-
governed solutions that support core client experiences. As Schwab continues to evolve
its Cash Products & Platform capabilities, strong risk management is critical to ensuring
operational resilience, regulatory alignment, and client trust.
As Director, Risk Consultant, you will support the execution of risk management
activities for Cash Products & Platform products and processes. In this individual
contributor role, you will partner closely with the business and risk teams to identify,
assess, and mitigate risk while enabling efficient, compliant operations

Using your risk management expertise and understanding of cash products and
platforms, you will:


• Lead the execution of core risk management activities, including risk and control
self-assessments (RCSA), issue management, and risk metrics for Cash
Products & Platforms
• Advise risk-based decision making across Cash Products & Platform, clarifying
ownership and driving well-documented outcomes
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify key risks, evaluate
control effectiveness, and drive timely remediation of control gaps
• Translate regulatory expectations and enterprise risk framework requirements
into practical, actionable guidance for front-line teams
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of processes,
procedures, and job aides aligned to Cash Products & Platforms risk activities
• Monitor business activity including metrics, key risk indicators (KRIs) and
emerging risks, ensuring transparency, response and escalation of issues as
appropriate
• Support regulatory engagements, key projects and strategic initiatives, including
new products and services processes, to enable informed decision-making and
drive growth

• Apply lessons learned and continuous improvement practices to strengthen
controls and enhance operational efficiency

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in banking, risk management, or a similar area within the
financial services industry.
• Knowledge of governance and project management
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, control design, and issue management
practices
• Experience working with cross-functional partners, including business,
technology, compliance, and second line of defense teams
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex risk concepts
in a clear, concise way
• Bachelor’s degree required

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
