Schwab’s Personal Trust Services (“PTS”) organization provides personal trust products and services to Schwab’s clients, including individual investors, beneficiaries, RIAs, and corporate fiduciaries. PTS products and services are provided through three separate legal entities: Charles Schwab Trust Company, Charles Schwab Trust Company of Delaware, and CS&Co. PTS products cover the full fiduciary, agency, and custody spectrum, including fiduciary trust administration and investment management, directed trustee, trusteed IRA, administrative agency, trust reporting, and trust outsourcing. PTS currently serves $44 billion in assets under management, administration, and custody, meeting the needs of over 1,000 independent RIAs and over 9,000 individual families.

The Director of PTS Strategy, Planning & Offer Management is a people-leader role and the accountable owner for the Personal Trust Services offer. You will help set the strategy, capacity plan, and multi-year roadmap for PTS, and lead the business analysis, concept design, and end-to-end implementation of new offer enhancements — from executive reporting and business-case approval through field enablement and launch.

Partnering across all PTS teams, you will lead a team accountable for delivering a consistent, scalable, and compelling trust and fiduciary experience — driving operational excellence and growth of the business..

The Director will report to the Managing Director, Personal Trust Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Personal Trust Services, aligned to firm-wide priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery and implement enhancements to the Personal Trust Services offer, in partnership with all stakeholders.
  • Lead executive reporting, business planning, and capacity/gearing analysis — translating volume and staffing data into resourcing recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Drive business-case development, prioritization, pricing/economics trade-offs, and investment recommendations for new and enhanced capabilities.
  • Oversee marketing collateral, privacy notices, disclosures, and content management (KC pages, forms), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a consistent client and rep experience.
  • Monitor industry, market, and competitive trends; recommend new capabilities and advise leaders on emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics, adoption, and outcomes to ensure realized business value.
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, translating strategy into actionable product direction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing offer management team, using data-driven decision making to inform prioritization and monitor business impact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years in Personal Trust Services or a similar fiduciary business.
  • Proven experience crafting and delivering strategic analyses, competitive intelligence, and offer-design recommendations to a senior executive audience (MDs+) to drive prioritization decisions.
  • Keen understanding of broader business needs and how they integrate.
  • Leadership and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and enterprises.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Ability to make significant progress with minimal direction and to make decisions, pivot, and structure pathways forward in the face of ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to effectively build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence.
  • Develops talent and fosters accountability and ownership.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
