The Finance & Corporate Administration Technology organization exists within the Corporate Systems organization of Charles Schwab & Co.'s Technology organization, which is comprised of several teams that support the goals of Schwab’s internal corporate functions and employees through the delivery of innovative technology solutions and high-availability application management. The Finance & Corporate Administration Technology team aligns closely with our business partners and product owners to define and deliver innovative technology solutions for the Corporate Finance functions, which include Corporate Accounting, Corporate Vendor Management, Corporate & Regulatory Reporting, Enterprise Planning & Profitability, Finance Analytics, Corporate Vendor Management and Physical Security Technologies. This is a dynamic area which is undertaking a multi-year technology and process transformation in support of Schwab’s growth strategy. Our focus is to partner with the business teams to deliver solutions that align with their strategies through an agile and customer-focused approach. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Administration Technology, the Architect Principal will be accountable for the Architecture and Technology Strategy, Blueprints and Technology Governance for Corporate Finance Planning, Profitability and Analytics, Regulatory Reporting, Corporate Real Estate and Physical Security business verticals.
Essential Functions:
The primary responsibility of the Architect within Finance & Corporate Administration Technology is to develop and lead the technology strategy and architecture blueprints, aligned to the business objectives/roadmap and the Schwab Technology priorities. As an individual contributor you will directly influence the technology delivery teams, working with the delivery team’s leadership. Additionally, you will engage with business partners and product owners to ensure the technology roadmap aligns to the business objectives. This position will report to the Director of Finance & Corporate Administration Technology. This individual must have strong organizational, communication and leadership capabilities. An ability to understand, align, and communicate Finance & Corporate Administration Technology services and capabilities to business leadership is an essential component of the role. Candidates should have a passion for understanding and leading emerging technologies.

Qualifications
Corporate Real Estate:
10 + years’ experience with Real Property Lease and Deed Portfolio management, abstraction methodology and cost escalation forecasting using CoStar Real Estate Manager with Corporate Accounting (PeopleSoft or Similar)
5 + years’ experience with Construction Project Tracking, Budget Reconciliation, accounting integration and cost controls using CoStar Project Manager.
10 + years’ experience in Corporate Space management strategy and tooling: BOMA\IFMA standards, churn and space allocation reporting using Archibus IWMS tools.
5+ years’ experience in enterprise Facility engineering and maintenance supplier management, work tracking, billing integration and vendor risk management using Corrigo
5+ years’ experience supporting building engineering and environmental systems architecture, protocols, and controls. Enterprise engineering integrations, energy usage monitoring and reporting. Critical Engineering (Data Center) infrastructure monitoring using tools like Modius, Niagra, and\or Tosibox.
5+ years directly supporting Construction and Engineering (CD&E) document preparation using CAD tools suites like AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and\or Revit.
Experience with Commercial Printshop technology: hardware, architecture, security and operations. Canon commercial and Fiery NAPs experience preferred.
Familiarity with Corporate Mailroom operation technology: Package tracking, Data loss prevention, and Postage using SAAS tools like Sclintra, SMART, and Stamps.com
Physical Security:
10+ years’ experience with Secure Physical Access systems – including the management of Proprietary Hardware inventory and IoT compliance for secure access (badge) and physical key management using Enterprise tools Genetec, TractionGuest, and\or Lenel Onguard preferred.
5+ years’ experience Video Surveillance system architecture and support including Proprietary Hardware class and IoT compliance management for camera and intrusion detection\prevention technology using Genetec, Lenel Onguard, or similar.
5+ years’ experience Corporate Security Investigations experience including Background checks: SEC, FINRA, LEXNEX integrations and fingerprint collection using Enterprise BGC tooling, e.g. Crossmatch, BIG.
3+ years’ experience supporting Employee investigation operations including, secure evidence collection and criminal and\or regulatory referrals using industry tools like Kaseware highly preferred.
3+ years’ experience with Data Center Hardening, specifically Facial recognition entry systems, perimeter intrusion detection and deterrence tools Alcatraz and\or Stonelock.
Financial Planning & Analytics:
5+ years’ experience with IBM Planning Analytics
5+ years’ experience with IBM Cognos Enterprise Planning & Analytics
3+ years’ experience OLAP Architecture, Design & Integration
3+ years’ experience Finance Data Architecture
2+ years’ experience Finance AI Modeling
Regulatory Reporting:
3+ years’ experience with ControllerView
Demonstrable experience with FDIC 370, SCCL FR 2590, FR Y-14A, FDIC QFC, FFEIC 031 and FR Y-9C Reports
Demonstrable experience with Daily Reserve Calculations, specifically in Design, Data Sourcing and Implementation
Architecture:
5+ years’ experience in Technology Leadership with demonstrable ability to influence Business Partners and Technology Teams
3+ years’ experience with developing technology strategies, aligned to business objectives, and technology blueprints
5+ years of experience leading medium to large/complex technology projects with multiple dependencies using Agile processes in planning, implementation, and oversight of business application components.
3+ years’ experience with SaaS Platforms and migrating on-prem solutions to SaaS.
Demonstrable experience with PI-Planning, aligning the technology and architecture components of the backlog to the business roadmap.
Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail & the ability to design, execute & maintain strategic goals & metrics.
Broad and deep knowledge of IT/software technology & trends, domain knowledge and experience in infrastructure support, application development, and database admin. including client/server, web services, portal, middleware, operating systems, databases, networking, security & business intelligence.
Strong knowledge of software development, testing, maintenance, and support.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a flexible and fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations.
3+ years’ experience in Financial Services Industry.
