Schwab’s Investor Development Teams are an integral part of the Investor Services organization and are primarily responsible for helping existing Schwab clients to consolidate assets and identify products, services, experiences that will support their long-term needs. We strive to create a consistent and exceptional client experience to ensure every client interaction is the very best Schwab has to offer. We accomplish this by focusing on the client’s holistic needs, assisting with new account openings, proposing relevant solutions, and navigating clients through necessary steps to ensure they are in a fully integrated relationship with Schwab.


The IDT Sr Team Manager will provide the coaching, support, guidance, and leadership to ensure success for our clients, and to ensure they sustain a high level of engagement and focus for our Investment Consultants. This leader will also be expected to provide actionable feedback to Senior Leadership on trends and opportunities to help shape the future of the business development model. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism portraying confidence with team members, internal colleagues, and executives.


Your typical day would include sales coaching and process management, development of Investment Consultants with effective training and performance management, review of lead management processes, performance data analysis for trends and actions, interviewing prospective team members, collaborating with business partners, sharing of best practices, and performing the compliance and administrative tasks inherent in our industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an engaged sales team in supporting the firm’s acquisition and growth efforts.
  • Deliver business results through individualized EDGE coaching and Situational Leadership II.
  • Lead and inspire team members through effective communication and coaching, creating a culture of success and trust across all employees.
  • Build relationships with key business partners and connect with others across the firm to boost results and provide the best client experience.
  • Be an ambassador for the IDT/WCS/Branch Network brand.
  • Integrate corporate-led initiatives, owning the message and translating it into your own leadership message.
  • Leverage systems and technology to help IDT Investment Consultants optimize the client experience.
  • Effectively adopt new tools and capabilities by acting as a champion of change.
  • Acquire and retain top talent through focused employee engagement, creating a positive work culture and a strong orientation to personal growth and development.
  • Collaborate with partners to hold employees accountable for quantitative and qualitative measures.

Essential skills include:

  • Active FINRA Series 7, Series 66, Series 9/10

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years of financial services experience, including prior leadership experience

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
