As a Senior Talent Advisor at Schwab, you will partner closely with hiring leaders to deliver thoughtful, consultative recruiting solutions for complex and high-impact roles across the firm. You will shape hiring strategies aligned to business priorities, strengthen our workforce, and create an inclusive and engaging experience for candidates and stakeholders throughout the hiring lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with hiring teams, build trust through consultation, and influence recruiting strategies that support business outcomes.

Key Outcomes:

Strategic Advisor

  • Design and execute data-informed recruiting strategies aligned to business needs and workforce plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing clear market insights, talent recommendations, and guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Lead effective intake and consultation conversations that clarify role expectations, success outcomes, and hiring priorities.
  • Apply enterprise and functional knowledge to influence recruiting approaches and outcomes.

Pipeline Management & Sourcing

  • Build and sustain diverse, high-quality talent pipelines for current and future needs.
  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels, tools, and outreach strategies to engage prospective candidates.
  • Monitor labor market trends, competitive dynamics, and employment brand insights to inform strategy.
  • Partner closely with Sourcing and Talent Attraction Program teams to support evolving business needs.

Candidate Assessment & Selection

  • Apply structured, skills-based assessment methods to evaluate relevant capabilities.
  • Partner with interview teams to promote consistent, fair, and inclusive interviewing practices.
  • Develop interview guides, facilitate debriefs, and synthesize feedback into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support inclusive hiring outcomes by ensuring candidate slates reflect diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives.

Relationship & Stakeholder Experience

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across Talent Acquisition, HR, and the business.
  • Deliver a positive, transparent, and engaging experience for candidates and hiring partners.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in one-on-one and small group settings, adapting to diverse audiences.
  • Model a collaborative “One Schwab” approach by sharing best practices and learning from others.

Business Acumen & Leadership

  • Apply critical thinking and business understanding to guide decision-making and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate awareness of risk considerations and support compliant, consistent hiring practices.
  • Take initiative to continuously build expertise in talent acquisition and the industries supported.
  • Coach and mentor teammates and champion team-level initiatives or projects.

What you have


To ensure we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo”, this role has specific qualifications candidates should have for success:

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 to 10 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience in a corporate and/or agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver recruiting initiatives and projects within Talent Acquisition.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and strong partnerships with hiring leaders and candidates.
  • Experience recruiting for a wide range of roles that are sourcing-intensive and require creative, proactive, and nontraditional sourcing approaches.
  • Proven success designing and executing innovative recruiting strategies encompassing proactive sourcing, pipeline development, networking, talent assessment, market research, and job analysis.
  • Highly effective consultation, problem-solving, and strategic advising skills.
  • Ability to influence hiring decisions through labor market insights, competitive intelligence, and data-informed recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong skills-based interviewing and candidate assessment capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively attract, engage, and convert candidates by positioning Schwab as an employer of choice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload of up to 25 or more requisitions concurrently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
