Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) is responsible for delivering resilient, compliant, and valuedriventhirdparty partnerships that support Schwab’s growth and regulatory commitments. The Senior Manager, Supplier Management Program Enablement plays a critical leadership role in scaling Supplier Management capabilities by building a highperforming enablement function that ensures risk controls, platforms, and insights operate reliably, consistently, and auditready.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role leads a small team responsible for Supplier Management enablement, nonlifecycle risk operations, and platform/risk transformation. You will connect strategy to execution by ensuring Supplier Management processes, metrics, and tooling evolve in step with emerging business initiatives, regulatory expectations, and technology change.You will be responsible for managing a cohesive team focused on advancing Supplier Management’s (SM) ability to deliver next-generation SM capabilities to achieve competitive advantage, resilience, and long-term value for our partners. This position will be responsible for SM readiness for new capabilities (e.g., AI, Concentration Risk, platform/process optimization); strengthening resilience and processes that deliver valuable outcomes for Schwab; cultivating a culture of collaboration within the organization; fostering strong relationships with various Schwab stakeholders; and leveraging data, tools and insights to inform decisions to achieve business goals. 

You will model Schwab’s leadership imperatives by prioritizing the work that delivers the greatest impact, developing talent, and fostering strong crossfunctional partnerships across Risk, Sourcing, Technology, and the Business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop People
  • Coach, mentor, and develop enablement/supplier management professionals
  • Establish clear role accountability, performance expectations, and growth paths
  • Supplier Management Enablement
  • Own SM metrics, scorecards, and executivelevel reporting and updates
  • Lead development and maintenance of SOPs, playbooks, and auditready evidence
  • Drive change management, communications, and adoption for new SM capabilities
  • NonLifecycle Risk Operations Oversight
  • Ensure reliable execution of KYV, negative news, highrisk country monitoring, incidents, and new product risk consultations
  • Oversee issue escalation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Platform & Transformation Partnership
  • Translate Supplier Management needs into clear, testable platform requirements
  • Partner with Product Owners, Strategic Projects, Data and Risk teams to ensure controls scale without fragmentation
  • Strategic Influence
  • Provide insights on operational risk, efficiency, and scalability to senior CVM leaders
  • Support forums and committees (e.g., TPRMS, BU Risk Forums) with highquality materials and recommendations

What you have


  • 8+ years of experience in vendor management, thirdparty risk, sourcing, or related risk operations
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with a track record of developing talent
  • Strong understanding of the thirdparty risk lifecycle and regulatory expectations
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed environments
  • Excellent executive communication and influence skills
  • Advanced business analysis (elicitation, requirements, modeling, traceability)
  • Supplier Management and TPRM domain fluency
  • Platform and lifecycle thinking
  • Governance, audit, and evidence discipline
  • Cross-functional facilitation and influence
  • Cost and efficiency analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
