Schwab’s Personal Trust Services (“PTS”) organization provides personal trust products and services
to Schwab’s clients, including individual investors, beneficiaries, RIAs, and corporate fiduciaries. PTS
products and services are provided through three separate legal entities; Charles Schwab Trust
Company, Charles Schwab Trust Company of Delaware, and Charles Schwab &Co. PTS products
cover the full fiduciary, agency, and custody spectrum, including fiduciary trust administration and
investment management, directed trustee, trusteed IRA, administrative agency, trust reporting, and
trust outsourcing.


The position of Sr. Specialist, Trust Cashiering Support (Team Lead) is a leadership role responsible
for supporting management and oversight responsibilities of a support team within Personal Trust
Services. The Team Lead will act as a player/coach, for the Trust Transition and Support Team. The
team works directly with internal business partners and external clients to ensure trustee’s duties of
asset custody and record keeping are supported accurately and efficiently. They are also responsible
for developing team members for future growth opportunities within Charles Schwab.


The Sr. Specialist, Trust Cashiering Support (Team Lead) is responsible for supporting processes and
key risk items to confirm team members perform daily functions as defined in procedures. The team
lead contributes to the daily tasks assigned and supports the team manager with creating a high
functioning team that executes efficiently and accurately, and collaborates thoughtfully and
intentionally. He/She is also responsible for identifying and implementing process efficiencies, and
managing risk.


Schwab follows the three lines of defense model of risk governance. The team lead is a first line of
defense position for CSTC and CSTCD and assures compliance with all trust company policies and
procedures, Schwab’s enterprise risk management program, as well as all applicable state and
federal banking and trust regulations in the context of their responsibilities.

What you’re good at
• Leading, developing, and mentoring team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, quality and
compliance to all policies and procedures.

• Supporting various trust services offered by Charles Schwab Investor Services and Charles
Schwab Advisor Services by partnering and collaborating with Trust Services Consulting,
Administration, investment advisors, and prior trustees to provide exceptional customer service
to both retail and institutional clients.

• Partnering with stakeholders including business development teams, trust administration,
operations and service to ensure the products are meeting expectations of our business
partners and end clients

• Actively managing and/or participating in special projects and initiatives in the spirit of
innovation, collaboration, and community.
• Helping to drive the strategic vision for PTS by proactively identifying opportunities to improve
process flow and eliminate redundancies.
• Providing oversight and required evidence of supervision for key processes
• Assisting with management of internal and external audits.
• Ensuring team members comply with state and federal banking regulations and internal policies
and procedures regarding asset eligibility, OFAC, AML, and Customer Identification Program

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in banking or financial industry, including customer service experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
• CTFA preferred
• FINRA Series 7,63, 9, 10 a plus
• Understanding of personal trust products and trust administration concepts
• Highly client-oriented with demonstrated experience in handling escalations
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving ability
• Strong analytical skills, ability to research problems, determine root causes and solutions
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities without sacrificing
quality or accuracy
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people
• Thrives on initiating, building and encouraging strong authentic relationships inside and outside
the group; highly reciprocal; navigates and activates alignment across organizational silos
• Highly motivated and a self-starter

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
