The Team Lead, Banking Operations – Wires provides day‑to‑day operational leadership for associates responsible for processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers. This role is accountable for risk management, quality execution, workload management, and associate development in a fast‑paced, high‑risk money movement environment. The Team Lead serves as an escalation point for complex wire activity and partners closely with managers, risk, fraud, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant wire processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily wire operations to ensure accurate, timely processing of incoming and outgoing domestic and international wires.
- Manage workflow, queue health, and priorities to meet service level expectations in a high-volume, high-risk environment.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high-risk wire transactions, applying sound judgment and risk awareness.
- Identify and help mitigate operational, fraud, and compliance risks while reinforcing internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Coach, guide, and support team members to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, confidence, and overall performance.
- Partner with internal teams, including risk, fraud, branches, service, and operations partners, to research and resolve wire inquiries and escalations.
- Support onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing to reinforce wire processing procedures, requirements, and best practices.
- Identify process gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities that reduce risk and enhance the associate and client experience.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage risk and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.
- Demonstrated coaching and informal leadership experience.
- Srong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Series 7/63, 9/10 are required, for highly qualified candidates a COE for the 9/10 could be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Team Lead or senior/SME experience.
- Experience working closely with fraud, risk, or audit partners.
- Familiarity with internal wire processing systems and escalation protocols.
- Ability to balance operational execution with associate development.
