The Document Control Department within Client Account Operations and Operational Services performs a variety of first touch functions for clients, financial advisors and internal business partners primarily focused on intake of documents, checks and routing client requests from all entry channels to the proper workflows for downstream processing across all operations teams.
The Document Control Team Manager position requires a strong and dynamic leader who can motivate, inspire, and develop a diverse team responsible for performing and executing on our organization’s purpose and mission. This is a high-urgency, detail-oriented and deadline-driven position requiring the ability to build and foster relationships across multiple locations and vendors to be successful. Partnership and teamwork are crucial skills for success in this position. In addition to a background in Brokerage/Financial Services Operations, the ideal candidate should possess experience effectively managing people at different stages in their career and professional development. The manager ensures that all functions are performed in a timely and accurate manner within Schwab policies and procedures while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. As a member of the management team, responsibilities also include facilitating the development, implementation and management of procedural changes and participating as a stakeholder in broader Operational Services initiatives as needed.
What you have

Required Qualifications:
- Series 7, 63 required; 9/10 preferred.
- 3 + years of experience in the financial services industry; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
- Demonstrated experience onboarding, training and developing team members and managing team performance including proven experience with formal efficiency or quality programs
- Demonstrated ability leading and managing departmental initiatives/projects

- Ability to build, sustain and lead in an engaging, team-oriented environment
- Skills in coaching and developing people at all performance levels via established performance objectives, consistent feedback, and appropriate recognition
- Emotional intelligence: Demonstrate outstanding professionalism, interpersonal skills, client focused and leadership-based relationship skills.
- Experience operating in a detail-oriented, fast paced, continuously changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, partnership and collaboration skills with ability to influence and build consensus with peers and business partners
- Generate and implement new ideas and processes to make the department more efficient; and seamlessly manage all aspects of projects
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to apply sound judgment; ability to think strategically and analyze a variety of factors and metrics when making global decisions for the department
Flexibility in scheduling is required for this position. Our hours of operation are typically Monday through Friday and can range between 6am to 6pm based on business needs; occasional weekend hours may be needed during peak volume seasons. Although we will try to give you advance notice, your assigned schedule may be changed at any point during your employment.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
