The Senior Relationship Trading Manager is a highly experienced options trader responsible for delivering consultative trading support, execution expertise, and advisor education for complex and block options transactions. This role partners directly with advisors, clients, and Sales Relationship Managers to simplify sophisticated options strategies, build trusted relationships, and demonstrate the value of the Block Options Desk.

The individual will drive a consistent options execution framework across the desk, ensuring best execution practices, minimizing market impact and information leakage, and utilizing the most effective execution strategies available to achieve optimal client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Advisor Engagement
• Serve as a trusted partner to clients implementing complex options strategies
• Translate complex options concepts, market dynamics, and execution considerations into clear and actionable guidance for advisors and investors.
• Represent the Block Options Desk in advisor meetings and field events
• Build strong relationships with high-value advisors and clients by delivering proactive service, market insights, and trading expertise.

Options Trading & Execution Leadership
• Lead execution support for large, complex, and sensitive options orders across multiple market conditions.
• Establish and promote consistent execution processes and best practices across the options desk
• Evaluate available execution methods and venues to optimize liquidity sourcing, reduce market impact, and mitigate information leakage.
• Partner with liquidity providers, traders, and internal stakeholders to optimize execution quality
• Provide real-time market analysis and execution recommendations for complex multi-leg and block option transactions.
• Act as the desk's primary subject matter expert on advanced options trading strategies
• Educate advisors on strategy selection, risk considerations, options market structure, and execution best practices.
• Consult on implementation approaches that align client objectives with market conditions and risk profiles.

Leadership & Process Improvement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on execution quality, consistency, and operational excellence.
• Establish desk-wide standards, playbooks, and best practices for options trade handling and execution.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Trading Technology teams to enhance capabilities and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Analyze execution quality, market outcomes, and advisor feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Mentor and develop fellow traders while fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and advisor-centric service.

What you have

• 10+ years of advanced options trading experience, including complex multi-leg and block options execution.
  • Deep understanding of options market structure, Flex Options, not held management, liquidity sourcing, and execution strategies.
  • Proven ability to educate and influence advisors, clients, and business partners.
  • Strong client-facing presence with exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated success executing large orders while minimizing market impact
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with sophisticated investors, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Series 7 and 63 required; additional industry registrations preferred.
