As a Sr. Manager, Trading Solutions Executive Services, you will play a critical role in driving growth, retention, and deep engagement within Schwab’s highest-value self-directed and active trader client segment. This role is focused on delivering tailored trading solutions and consultative expertise to ultra-high net worth and highly sophisticated trader clients, while partnering closely with Branch leadership and Trading partners to influence asset growth and client outcomes.
You will act as a senior subject matter expert and client-facing strategist, leading complex client engagements that require deep expertise across trading products, platforms, and strategies—including thinkorswim, advanced options, futures/forex, margin, APIs, and specialized account structures. You will partner closely with Branch Managers (BMs), Financial Consultants (FCs), and Trading teams to position Schwab’s full trader value proposition and drive measurable outcomes across asset retention, net new assets, and client satisfaction.
Your ability to lead through influence, navigate complex client scenarios, and deliver high-impact consultation will directly support Schwab’s commitment to winning with sophisticated trader clients. This role requires a strong balance of client engagement, technical trading expertise, and cross-functional partnership to deliver differentiated value. The role also requires experience supporting complex account structures, hedge fund clients, and other sophisticated, institutionally-like trading needs.
What You’ll Do
Client Engagement & Revenue Growth
- Lead complex, high-value client engagements with ultra-high net worth and active trader clients to uncover stated and unstated needs and deliver tailored trading solutions
- Influence asset growth, retention, and consolidation by positioning Schwab’s full trading ecosystem, platforms, and capabilities
- Partner with Branch leadership and FCs to support high-stakes client conversations, providing deep expertise in trading products and strategies
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-value trader clients and prospects, leveraging referrals, events, and targeted outreach
Trading Expertise & Solutions Delivery
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert across advanced trading strategies, platforms, and products (options, futures/FX, margin, APIs, prime-style accounts)
- Deliver customized platform demonstrations and solutioning aligned to client trading strategies and sophistication level
- Support complex onboarding and transition of assets, ensuring a seamless client experience
Partnership & Field Enablement
- Partner closely with Branch, Trading, Product, and Service teams to deliver integrated client solutions
- Act as a key resource to Branch teams, elevating understanding of advanced trading capabilities and identifying opportunities within existing client books
- Collaborate with Marketing and Education to support client events, seminars, and scaled engagement strategies
- Coordinate across internal teams (e.g., Trade Desk, Risk, Product, Technology) to resolve complex client needs
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Provide structured feedback loops to Product, Platform, and Leadership teams on client needs, gaps, and opportunities
- Identify emerging trends in client behavior, competitive positioning, and platform needs
- Contribute to the evolution of Schwab’s trader strategy, offerings, and client experience
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required:
- 7–10+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on active traders, trading solutions, or high-net-worth client segments
- Proven success in client acquisition, asset gathering, and retention within complex or consultative sales environments
- Experience working with or supporting branch networks and client-facing partners
- Deep knowledge of trading strategies, market structure, and risk management, including options, futures/FX, and margin
- Expertise in trading platforms and tools, including thinkorswim or equivalent advanced platforms
- Understanding of complex account structures, including entities, institutional-style trading needs, and API-based solutions
- Strong awareness of competitor offerings and market dynamics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Active FINRA Series 7 & 63 (or 66) required
- Series 3 & 34 required
- Occasional travel for client meetings required (approximately 10%)
Preferred:
- Exceptional client-facing, consultative, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence sophisticated audiences
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex scenarios while driving toward outcomes
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority client engagements simultaneously
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
