We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Compliance Reporting and Governance
(CORE) team. In this highly visible role, you’ll be a trusted partner to senior leadership and risk
committees, helping translate complex compliances risk into clear, concise, and actionable insights.


Why This Role Matters
The CORE team plays a critical role in Schwab’s risk management framework. Our mission is to
aggregate, synthesize, and elevate compliance risk information so senior leadership and the Board
can make informed decisions with confidence. As a Senior Manager, you’ll help ensure the effective
operation of key risk committees—including the Board, Global, Compliance, Bank, Personal Trust,
and Fiduciary and Conflicts of Interest committees—while supporting management reporting,
committees, and the Board of Directors with high-quality reporting and analysis.


What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead, influence, and innovate across the enterprise
compliance program:


• Drive executive-level risk reporting by preparing substantive, high-impact materials for the
Chief Compliance Officer, Executive Risk Committees.
• Shape standards for reporting and metrics by helping maintain, monitor and enhance
enterprise-wide management reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate broadly across second-line risk teams, guiding partners to deliver
high-quality, timely inputs and providing effective challenge and feedback to strengthen
reporting outcomes.
• Build strong partnerships across Compliance, Legal, Corporate Risk Management, and
internal support teams to advance enterprise compliance metrics and reporting.
• Apply regulatory and industry expertise to accurately assess and articulate the impact of
compliance risk across business lines, legal entities, and international jurisdictions.

• Act as an ambassador for the CORE team, increasing awareness and understanding of
compliance risk reporting and governance across the Company.
• Develop forward-looking performance indicators using data visualization, analysis, and
calibration to strengthen oversight of compliance risk and program effectiveness.

What you have

Qualifications

You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for clarity, precision, and impact:


• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business management; graduate degree or financial
certifications preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in financial, risk, or compliance reporting within a diversified financial
services environment.
• Demonstrated experience building enterprise standards, processes, and metrics—from
design through execution.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical rigor, and adaptability in fast-paced,
deadline-driven environments.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative, client-focused mindset.
• Clear, concise, confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage
audiences at all levels—both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with
Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query is a plus.
• Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or other process improvement certifications
is a plus.
