As the Director, Communications and Change Management Effectiveness, Digital Retail, you’ll lead Digital Retail-wide change initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, accelerate adoption of strategic priorities, and improve effectiveness across product, product operations, and technology teams. This leader drives transformational change and proactive organizational initiatives—translating strategy into aligned execution, scalable ways of working, and measurable adoption. Embedded within Digital Retail, this role partners across Product, Tech, Strategy Priorities & Initiatives, and key enterprise teams to improve readiness, engagement, adoption, and business outcomes.
What You Will Do
Change Leadership & Strategy
Lead Digital Retail’s change and organizational effectiveness strategy, aligned to business outcomes, client impact, and enterprise priorities.
Translate business needs into integrated change strategies that support delivery, adoption, and operational effectiveness.
Lead change for complex initiatives, including transformation, product launches, operating model shifts, modernization, and process changes.
Scale consistent change practices, tools, and standards across Digital Retail teams and leadership forums.
Coach executives, product leaders, and people leaders on sponsorship, storytelling, engagement, and adoption accountability.
Use adoption, readiness, engagement, and effectiveness metrics to refine strategies and improve impact.
Organizational Effectiveness
Guide communication organizational design and operating model tied to infrastructure, decision rights, management, and accountability.
Facilitate initiatives that improve ways of working, leadership effectiveness, portfolio alignment, intake, prioritization, and collaboration.
Develop scalable solutions to organizational and execution challenges across Digital Retail.
Use data and diagnostics to identify friction points, guide interventions, and measure impact.
Connect change strategy to planning, operating rhythms, workforce readiness, communications, and capability building.
Stakeholder & Executive Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to Digital Retail Managing Directors on leaders on change impacts, organizational readiness, leader alignment, and adoption risks.
Design leader-led change approaches, including sponsorship, decision forums, stakeholder engagement, and people-leader enablement.
Partner across Product, Tech, Strategy Priorities & Initiatives, Digital partners, and enterprise functions to align readiness and execution.
Influence cross-functional discussions with clear recommendations, risk insights, and decision support.
Translate complex initiatives into clear narratives that explain what is changing, why it matters, actions required, and success measures.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a small communication and change management team of 1-2 professionals supporting Digital Retail priorities.
Set priorities across strategic communication, executive advisory support, and hands-on execution.
Build a collaborative, consultative team culture with strong business acumen, product fluency, and outcome focus.
What you have
Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational effectiveness, communications, product management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
8-10 years leading strategy, communications, organizational effectiveness, change management or product operations in matrixed organizations.
Proven success leading large-scale initiatives that improves adoption, capability, and business outcomes.
Strong understanding of digital product organizations, technology delivery, operating models, stakeholder engagement, and adoption measurement.
Ability to synthesize stakeholder input and create practical solutions that improve execution and performance.
Experience influencing senior leaders, coaching through change, and leading teams or cross-functional working groups.
