Join the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) team as Director for FCRM Technology Strategy, Data, Productivity, Automation and AI. This role will set the integrated strategy and operating model; lead people, priorities, governance, budget, delivery, and outcomes; and translate FCRM priorities into secure, scalable technology, trusted data, productivity tools, and governed automation and AI. You will oversee a coordinated front door for demand, clarify ownership and handoffs, and enable sustainable process improvements that reduce manual effort, strengthen risk management, create capacity, and deliver measurable value for clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide people leadership and end-to-end accountability, including talent development, resource and budget management, governance, delivery, production support, and measurable outcomes.
- Define and execute an integrated, multiyear FCRM technology, data, productivity, AI, and automation strategy and roadmap aligned with FCRM, CRM, and Schwab priorities.
- Lead FCRM’s technology strategy execution and transformation portfolio, including change management, stakeholder alignment, delivery transparency, clear ownership and handoffs, and standardized, reusable technology capabilities.
- Oversee a single front door and transparent governance model for intake, triage, prioritization, routing, execution, and benefits realization, sequencing demand based on risk, regulatory urgency, strategic value, feasibility, and capacity.
- Oversee FCRM data governance, including trusted data foundations, critical data elements, data quality, lineage, stewardship, access controls, centralized ingestion and integration, approved interfaces, and self-service access for reporting, analytics, and automation.
- Provide strategic oversight of FCRM platforms and related capabilities, including riskCanvas, the FCRM portal, data integration and pipelines, architecture, deployment, testing, monitoring, documentation, and lifecycle management in partnership with enterprise technology and data teams.
- In partnership with the PTE Director, oversee delivery of scalable data visualization, reporting, workflow, and business productivity solutions, including Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- In coordination with PTE Director, oversee regulatory, audit, and ad hoc data support; FCRM SharePoint and Power Platform standards and permissions; and AML watchlist tooling and enhancements.
- Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle governance of RPA, AI, agentic workflows, and orchestration capabilities that reduce manual effort while preserving human judgment and accountability.
- Operationalize responsible AI, data, security, and software-development requirements through documented controls, explainability, lineage, testing, monitoring, access management, issue escalation, and rollback and recovery plans.
- Re-engineer end-to-end processes using First Principles methodology and deploy natural language interfaces, pattern recognition, predictive and generative AI, dashboards, workflow automation, and reusable low-code or no-code solutions across Conduct Risk, AML, and Fraud.
- Measure and communicate adoption, capacity created, cycle-time reduction, quality, control effectiveness, reliability, scalability, risk reduction, and return on investment to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships across FCRM, CRM, Schwab Data, technology, risk, cyber, and banking teams to manage dependencies, eliminate duplication, and deliver integrated capabilities.

- Re-engineering manual and risk-based processes to improve efficiency, consistency, control effectiveness, and user experience.
- Influencing across functions and balancing business value, regulatory expectations, technology risk, and delivery capacity.
- Communicating concise, executive-level updates on strategy, portfolio performance, risks, dependencies, and investment decisions.
What you have
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services technology, data, analytics, automation, transformation, and risk management, including significant people and portfolio leadership.
- Demonstrated experience setting strategy and leading complex, cross-functional technology and data portfolios from intake and prioritization through delivery, adoption, production support, and benefits realization.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, lineage, access controls, integration, APIs, data pipelines, analytics, reporting, and platform lifecycle management.
- Experience overseeing productivity and visualization capabilities such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate, or comparable technologies.
- Experience applying RPA, machine learning, generative AI, agentic workflows, and related technologies to improve financial crimes prevention, detection, investigation, operations, or reporting.
- Deep knowledge of responsible AI, model and technology risk, information security, privacy, software-development lifecycle, and regulatory control expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, develop talent, manage budgets and capacity, establish governance, and deliver measurable efficiency and risk outcomes.
- Outstanding executive communication, relationship-building, influencing, and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance.
- BS/BA degree required; advanced or professional degree, relevant technology or risk certifications, or securities license(s) a plus.
