Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) is a leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) recordkeeping solutions, delivering cutting-edge technology to retirement and health savings plan providers, administrators, and recordkeeping partners. SRT’s mission is to help partners expand their business and offer superior solutions by leveraging Schwab’s scalable technology, robust recordkeeping systems, and open-architecture approach. Through strategic collaboration with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), Independent Recordkeepers, Trust Companies, and Institutional Retirement Plan providers, SRT powers retirement and health savings innovation and operational excellence.

The Director, SRT Partnership Management & Consulting is a strategic leader responsible for driving new sales, revenue growth, partner expansion, and adoption of Schwab Retirement Technologies SaaS recordkeeping solutions. This role leads a team of consultants focused on application adoption, new client training, acquisition, conversion, relationship management and continuous improvement while working in close collaboration with SRT Product and Client Strategy leaders to align partner needs, product priorities, and go-to-market execution. The Director will bring executive presence, consultative sales discipline, technical fluency, and an entrepreneurial mindset to expand SRT’s market reach, deepen partner engagement, and deliver measurable growth. This position requires up to 30% travel for partner meetings, sales development, client training, conversions, business reviews, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of SRT consultants responsible for application adoption, relationship management, new and existing client training, acquisition, conversion, and continuous improvement across partner implementations.
  • Own new sales and growth objectives, including pipeline development, opportunity qualification, consultative sales execution, and funded account growth.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage financial services partnerships that expand distribution and integration of Schwab Retirement Technologies SaaS solutions.
  • Respond to sales inquiries, lead product demonstrations, and convert qualified opportunities into new partner relationships and growth opportunities.
  • Develop channel strategies that increase awareness, adoption, and loyalty among workplace retirement and health savings partners.
  • Serve as the primary relationship leader for assigned partnerships, ensuring strong engagement, satisfaction, and ongoing business reviews.
  • Establish consulting playbooks, training standards, and feedback loops that improve implementation quality, speed to adoption, and partner experience.
  • Work in close collaboration with SRT Product, Client Strategy, and other Schwab teams to align partner needs, product priorities, and integrated recordkeeping, retirement, and health savings solutions.
  • Lead complex deal negotiations, balancing creativity, risk, speed, and disciplined execution.
  • Represent Schwab at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings as a leader in retirement technology and recordkeeping systems.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, technology, and partnership performance trends to identify growth opportunities and improve channel effectiveness.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of successful experience in retirement plan technology, health savings solutions, recordkeeping, SaaS, financial services, or related business development.
  • Proven success leading client-facing consultants, implementation teams, or partner enablement functions focused on adoption, training, conversion, continuous improvement, and cross-functional execution.
  • Demonstrated success owning new sales, revenue growth, pipeline development, and partner expansion goals in a consultative environment.
  • Experience building product distribution through third-party channels in retirement, health savings, recordkeeping, or financial technology.
  • Deep understanding of retirement and health savings software, TPA operating models, recordkeeper platforms, financial institutions, SaaS delivery models, and associated operational considerations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders, facilitate technical discussions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.
  • Superior analytical, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills; adaptable, entrepreneurial, and action oriented.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strategic Growth Leadership: Executes channel growth strategies that drive adoption, funded account growth, partner loyalty, and revenue expansion.
  • Consulting Leadership: Coaches and develops consultants while collaborating with Product and Client Strategy leaders to help partners adopt technology, train users, support conversions, and improve operating practices.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of retirement and health savings software, TPAs, recordkeepers, financial institutions, and financial technology ecosystems.
  • Technical Communication: Skilled at translating complex technology into clear value propositions for executives, partners, and users.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: Comfortable with ambiguity, competing priorities, and fast-moving SaaS and financial services environments.
  • Previous experience with Schwab Retirement Technologies software is a plus.
