The Software Development Engineer in Workplace Technology DSE designs, builds, and maintains secure, scalable internal applications and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, data reliability, and security posture across enterprise platforms. This role requires independent technical competency, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to modernize systems through automation, API integrations, and resilient application design. The engineer partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver near real-time analytics, improve incident response, and reduce manual operational overhead.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal security and workplace automation applications supporting endpoint protection, analytics, and remediation workflows.
  • Build and support full‑stack web applications using technologies such as React, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL.
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Bash, and related technologies to streamline patching, vulnerability management, and operational processes.

Data & Analytics Engineering

  • Design and implement analytics pipelines and integrations, including API migrations, to enable near real‑time data availability.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data retrieval processes to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring frameworks to prevent data loss and improve observability.

Security & Risk Management

  • Enhance vulnerability management automation, including Jira‑based workflows for tracking, updating, and remediating security findings.
  • Apply secure development practices, including protection of sensitive credentials and environment variables.
  • Support incident response efforts by developing resilient systems, backups, and rollback strategies.

Reliability & Resiliency

  • Improve application reliability through comprehensive testing, backup strategies, and deployment safeguards.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts to validate APIs and system behavior across multiple scenarios.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact system availability or data integrity.

Collaboration, Documentation & Enablement

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners through design reviews, automation forums, and planning sessions.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and runbooks to establish single sources of truth.
  • Mentor and support teammates by sharing automation patterns, tooling best practices, and lessons learned.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in software development using C#, ASP.NET, and modern web technologies.
  • Strong experience with SQL, data optimization, and analytics pipelines.
  • Hands‑on experience with automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience integrating and consuming APIs, including secure authentication patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment practices, and production support.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Works independently on complex initiatives requiring architectural judgment and technical leadership.
  • Leads planning and implementation of major system enhancements (e.g., API migrations, automation frameworks).

  • Innovation & Forward Thinking: Identifies opportunities to modernize systems and reduce manual work through automation.
  • Scale & Efficiency: Designs solutions that improve performance, reduce latency, and support enterprise growth.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
