As a key member of the Service Talent Readiness Team, the Sr. Specialist - Training is responsible for facilitation of Schwab Service Academy and other CS&S Training Programs as it pertains to all functions of the program that includes dialogue, systems, policy and procedures, client experience and culture. The Sr. Specialist - Training will support and perform various logistical activities in regards to the delivery of training, activities, and ensure Standard Work is updated, created and followed. This position will work with internal team members, business partners, and other stakeholders throughout the training delivery to ensure business objectives are met. Those in the Sr. Specialist – Training role are responsible for delivering an effective environment and learner experience face to face and virtually.  

As a Sr. Specialist - Training, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Effectively communicate the Corporate vision and CS&S initiatives.
  • Show mastery of facilitation techniques across L&D learning programs.
  • Maintain an environment that adheres to the Training Program Policies and Procedures.
  • Utilize management tools to help drive accountability and identify any risks to the training program.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills to lead training sessions, sharing information and setting goals for the day.
  • Conduct interactive workshops and focus sessions on exam content. 
  • Build a strong relationship with Nesting Managers to support new professionals through the training program.
  • Motivate and inspire team members with regards to achievement of corporate, business, and personal goals.
  • Create a collaborative and engaged team environment where best practice sharing is valued and encouraged.
  • Mentor other facilitation peers by sharing best practices and providing timely feedback.
  • Evaluate and improve processes, standard work and ensure consistency throughout the program.
  • Leverage Analytics to identify, capture, and interpret data for coaching and program enhancements.

Required qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong facilitation skills
  • Solid mentoring background and passion in mentoring others, understanding of teaching processes, coaching processes, and varying adult learning styles.
  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry and investment vehicles
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coaching or Training background strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry and investment vehicles (e.g., IRA, brokerage accounts, etc.).
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently on a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities as demonstrated by gathering, analyzing, and delivering information in both verbal and written formats.
  • Strong partnership skills to work effectively with colleagues and business partners’ cross-site in a fast-paced, results oriented culture.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
