​​Join Schwab Mobile as a Senior Android Developer and help shape modern, high-impact mobile experiences used by millions of clients across Retail, Retirement, and Intelligent Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex Android development, mentor engineers, and influence technical direction across a highly visible native mobile platform. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams while leveraging modern practices, including AI-assisted development, to accelerate delivery and raise the bar for quality, performance, and innovation. What you have:

​​• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team. Design and integrate solution endpoints into applications, endpoints in this context meaning a device or node that is connected to the LAN (Local Area Network) or WAN (Wide Area Network) and accepts communications back and forth across the network.  
• In-depth knowledge of current technological trends, developments, and best practices in information security, wireless network architecture, technologies, and concepts.  
• Knowledge on integrating feature flagging tools such as LaunchDarkly and Optimizely.  
• Experience with implementing unit test cases using Expresso, Gerkhin, Mokito, Mock etc. tools  
• Leverage AI agents to accelerate Android development workflows, including code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, documentation, and engineering productivity improvements.  
• Maintain and evolve AI agents that support development tasks such as peer code reviews, pull request analysis, coding standards validation, dependency analysis, and technical documentation.   
• Experience with code repository tools such as GIT, BitBucket, SVN etc  
• Exceptional OO design and development skills​

What you have

Required Skills:

​​▪ BS degree in Computer Science or related field  
• 5+ years of Android development experience  
• Extensive experience developing complex Android applications in an enterprise environment  
• Strong problem-solving skills and deep experience coaching and mentoring junior developers  
• Experience with agentic development practices, including designing, prompting, and integrating AI agents into software development and peer review workflows.  
• Hands-on experience supporting multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions and device types.  
• An expert understanding of the Android SDK and NDK ​
