As a member of the Online Security Technology organization, you will play a critical role in supporting release management activities across OST platforms including LMS, CAM, CCS, Authorization, ERE, and ECV. We are looking for a Release Manager who can actively shepherd OST changes through Schwab’s change management, CES, and OST Release Management processes while helping teams maintain strong compliance and release readiness. This role requires a detail-oriented, collaborative leader who can partner across Change Management, OST Development, SAVE leadership, Scrum Masters, and peer release managers to plan, coordinate, and execute releases successfully. The successful candidate will bring strong follow-through, clear communication, and the ability to drive accountability across teams to ensure release activities, approvals, and standards are completed on time.
What you'll do:
- Manage and support OST release management activities across LMS, CAM, CCS, Authorization, ERE, and ECV platforms.
- Shepherd all OST changes through Schwab Change Management, CES, and OST Release Management processes to ensure readiness, compliance, and timely execution.
- Prepare and maintain release calendars by partnering with Change Management, OST Development teams, SAVE leadership, Scrum Masters, and peer release managers.
- Identify and address release conflicts, dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts across applications and platform teams.
- Review release tickets and change records to ensure required information, approvals, implementation plans, validation steps, and evidence meet established standards.
- Stay current on evolving Schwab Change Management guidelines and incorporate new procedures into upcoming releases to maintain compliance and a strong Release Management Credit Score.
- Educate application teams and stakeholders on release management expectations, process changes, required documentation, and approval timelines.
- Drive follow-ups with organizational leaders, application teams, and approvers to ensure release management activities are completed on time.
- Facilitate release readiness discussions, ensure open items are tracked to closure, and communicate release status, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of OST release management practices by identifying process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities to simplify or standardize execution.

Required Qualifications:
- Essential: Strong understanding of Schwab Change Management standards, release governance, and enterprise release management practices.
- Essential: Experience coordinating application or platform releases across multiple teams, systems, and stakeholder groups.
- Essential: Ability to prepare, maintain, and manage release calendars while identifying conflicts, dependencies, and readiness risks.
- Essential: Experience reviewing change records, release tickets, implementation plans, validation steps, approvals, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Essential: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to educate teams on process requirements and drive timely follow-ups.
- Essential: Demonstrated accountability and organization skills with the ability to track open items, escalate risks, and ensure activities are completed on schedule.
- Essential: Ability to quickly understand evolving change management guidance and translate it into actionable release procedures for application teams.
- Experience partnering with development teams, Scrum Masters, technology leaders, and release managers in an Agile delivery environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated technology environment where release quality, compliance, and execution discipline are critical.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify release issues, coordinate resolution, and communicate impacts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting release management for authentication, authorization, middleware, or online security platforms.
- Familiarity with OST platforms such as LMS, CAM, CCS, Authorization, ERE, and ECV.
- Experience with CES processes and maintaining release management scorecards or compliance-related metrics.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, release readiness ceremonies, and production implementation coordination.
- Experience using enterprise workflow, ticketing, or change management tools to track releases, approvals, dependencies, and implementation evidence.
- Ability to create clear release communications, status updates, and leadership-ready summaries for decision-making and escalation.
- Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify recurring release issues and recommend practical improvements to simplify execution and improve compliance.
