Sr Manager, Retail Field Enablement Intake & Capacity
Your Opportunity
The Retail Field Enablement team is responsible for designing and orchestrating the change implementation strategy for cross-channel initiatives impacting Investor Services field audiences which includes the Branch Network (BN), Client Service & Support (CS&S), Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and other Retail client-facing specialty groups. Reporting to the Director of Intake & Capacity, the Senior Manager is primarily responsible for assessing the scope and impact of each initiative, prioritizing within the project portfolio, and providing Investor Services leaders a holistic view of projects and initiatives impacting their businesses. This requires working cross-functionally with all levels within the Investor Services enterprise and other Schwab organizations to ensure strategic and tactical input is provided in assessment, prioritization, tracking, reporting, and launch. The individual contributor role will also be assigned various change management light initiatives, requiring the development of field readiness plans, and drafting and coordination of field communications and resources.
What you’re good at
- Highly organized and can manage daily intake processing and prioritization of project submissions
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to ask questions, piece information together, and pushback when necessary
- Conducting in-depth impact analysis to determine all impacted channels, partner organizations and other Schwab enterprises, and the degree of impact and timing for each initiative
- Understanding how different projects interlink and overlap, and identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the portfolio
- Motivating people without direct channels of authority; being a coach, influencer, and bridge-builder
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to drive efficiency and impact
What you have
Required qualifications:
- Business acumen - deep understanding of Retail businesses and roles, especially those that are client-facing
- Project management – strong cross-functional project management and relationship building skills, flexibility, and comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting to change; can work in both a strategic and executional capacity
- Exceptional organization – able to handle a high volume of work and throughput in constrained time periods; excellent follow-up with the ability to manage moving timelines with cross-functional project teams
- Sound judgment – strong problem-solving skills, can manage trade-offs and make decisions with less than perfect information
- Excellent communicator – exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop accurate, visually-compelling PowerPoint presentations, for executive level review
- Self-starter – proactive entrepreneurial spirit, curious with a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment
- Deliver results – successfully execute on multiple initiatives at the same time, autonomously, quickly, despite challenges, and with a high sense of urgency and great attention to detail
- Professional – ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe PDF required
Preferred qualifications:
- Prosci certification
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Workfront
- Experience with Copilot, Microsoft Loop, and other efficiency platforms
- Experience in a client-facing and/or intake/project management role
