The Retirement Business Services (RBS) Client Experience Group is focused on delivering competitive products and services to the intermediaries it serves. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the retirement market, the ability to identify client needs, and a commitment to building relationships that help retain business and win new opportunities.
As Senior Manager, Small Market Product Management, you will lead the development, enhancement, and management of retirement plan solutions for small and mid-sized employer-sponsored plans served by advisors.
In this role, you will analyze business needs, develop and enhance products, and support go-to-market efforts for the Retirement Business Services (RBS) channel within Workplace Services.
You will work closely with partners across Workplace Services, Advisor Services, and other business teams, as well as with service providers and clients. This role drives product strategy and execution in support of key growth initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead product strategy, development, and enhancements for the small and mid-sized employer-sponsored retirement plan market.
- Identify market opportunities through client feedback, competitive intelligence, and industry trend analysis.
- Translate business needs into requirements, business cases, and project plans for new products and feature enhancements.
- Partner across technology, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and service teams to deliver product initiatives.
- Track product performance, profitability, and key business metrics, and use insights to inform strategy.
- Present recommendations, business cases, and progress updates to senior leaders.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years in product development, product marketing, or market and product analysis.
- Knowledge of retirement plan administration and familiarity with financial markets.
- Broad knowledge of mutual funds, collective investment trusts, and other investment products used in retirement plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce or similar CRM tools, and project management or database applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives, track progress, and drive results through collaboration.
- Ability to quickly understand complex concepts and apply technology to solve business challenges.
- Proven ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and lead initiatives that deliver results on time.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
