This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
The Operational Services organization at Schwab partners with teams across the firm to deliver on service promises to Schwab clients. We are responsible for protecting and safeguarding the assets of the firm and our clients while continuing to increase scalability and efficiency.
The Operations Transformation Office (OTO) is responsible for transforming Operational Services into a highly scalable organization, while creating a culture of excellence in how we create shared value for clients, manage risk, cultivate talent, and collaborate with partners across the firm. Within the OTO we have established the Business Process Management Center of Excellence (BPM CoE) which provides tools and solutions that deliver process documentation and analysis to drive: 1) Business Process Transformation; 2) Continuous Improvement; and 3) Risk & Controls and Business Continuity Efforts. We are seeking a strategic-minded process analyst to join the BPM CoE team.
The BPM CoE has a need for a process management lead to analyze and document the current state and design the future state of selected business processes. You will accomplish this by leading collaborative workshops that include corporate executives, process owners, and subject matter experts in process discovery activities such as process identification and inventory, process assessment, process discovery, and process analysis.
Additionally, you will support the development of the corporate design and execution plan for process transformation work lead out of the OTO organization and work with Schwab Technology partners and agile teams to align business needs with developer goals.
Success will result in a better understanding of process from a business function vs. business unit viewpoint, enable transparency around current processes and improvement opportunities, and improve the Operations Risk exposure through better process documentation and understanding.

- Leading integrated, cross-functional teams (business, technology, shared services) to design the future-state business and solution structure. Guide business owners on solution choices, selection criteria and trade-offs. Define the implications of the selection to existing operating model, new roles and org implications, and define associated operating processes.
- Acting as primary thought partner on process design initiatives and BPM strategy in support of broader business transformation objectives
- Challenging established processes and systems to modernize and simplify business infrastructure.
- Supporting the consistent application of design best practices and foster the adoption of a continuous improvement across Schwab
- Producing ROI projections and reporting for recommendation around potential design and process changes
- Will be responsible for developing the storyboard and building the comprehensive communication strategy for specific engagement deliverables
