Charles Schwab's Digital Retail Digital Payments and Move Money team builds key experiences for clients and strives to continue to make it easier for clients to get funds where they want. Our motto is “Make It Easy”, so we focus on delivering best-in-class experiences for clients that make moving assets into, between, and out of Schwab as simple and intuitive as possible.  We collaborate with user experience, product, client service, operations and technology teams across the enterprise to build products clients love. 

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead a team responsible for critical Transfer & Pay/Move Money functions, helping us craft the future of moving money at Schwab.

What you are good at:

  • Asset Transfer & Money Movement – An operational and Digital understanding of the Money Movement and Retirement Distributions/Contributions space, client needs, and processes and the ability to drive cross cutting initiatives to completion.
  • Product Planning & Roadmaps – Facilitate PI planning across teams, roadmap development and maintenance and stakeholder reviews.
  • Product Management – Experience owning and managing digital products and/or enterprise capabilities. 
  • Cross Team Planning & Alignment– Experience leading cross-team product and planning activities that ensure roadmaps are aligned on business objectives and regulatory deliverables. Influencing alignment across partner teams, as needed.
  • TeamBuilding – Experience actively contributing to high-performing teams. Serve as a leader within the Digital Payments & Move Money by mentoring any new team members and supporting activities across all existing Product Managers.
  • Subject Matter Expertise - An in-depth understanding of Move Money and Payments at Charles Schwab from front to backend, with an ability to apply your knowledge to drive value added client experience impacts for a critical function for our clients.
  • Schwab's integrated ecosystem - Advanced knowledge and background of Schwab systems and integrations.
  • Cross functional and Stakeholder knowledge - Understanding of experiences across Schwab digital and non-digital functions to understand impacts and value of changes to drive cohesive and collaborative change management across all move money partners and experiences at Schwab.

What you have


  • 10 + years of strong product management and/or program management experience with demonstrated ability to develop and implement product strategies and deliver high priority initiatives
  • Product management experience in financial services
  • Expertise in Schwab Transfer & Pay/Move Money processes and experiences
  • Knowledge of Retirement distribution and contribution ecosystem and associated digital capabilities
  • A commitment to digital innovation and delivery of continuous client experience enhancements
  • Superior communication skills, ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs to craft a compelling story to leadership level stakeholders
  • Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an interactive process and an Agile development methodology
  • Effective relationship builder – ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
  • Strong Process Management discipline with a keen understanding of how to implement process practices.
  • Strong data driven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Prior people leadership experience leading high performing teams and fostering an environment of empowerment and coaching.
  • Effective in managing business risk through assessing risk probability and impact, developing processes for risk mitigation and detection in rollout and test plans, and scenario planning 
  • Bachelor's degree required. Post graduate degree is a plus 

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
