This position will be part of Digital Utilities Technology team at Schwab, and we will focus on driving client-centricity,

reducing time to market & increasing efficiency. The model is insights-driven and focuses on rapid iterations to drive

cross-functional coordination and ownership.

• Work closely with product owners, senior engineers, QA, and partner teams to deliver high quality software

solutions.

• Participate in requirements analysis, story breakdown, design discussions, Agile ceremonies, and sprint

execution.

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs following established engineering, security, and quality

standards.

• Build and enhance user facing interfaces, focusing on usability, performance, and maintainability.

• Write and optimize database queries and data access logic.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable build, test, and deployment workflows.

• Ensure all code changes meet quality, security, and compliance standards prior to release.

• Participate in release preparation and deployment support activities.

• Support applications in cloud based environments, assisting with configuration and environment setup.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with guidance, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

• Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate strong problem solving skills.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or

equivalent practical experience.

• 1–3 years of hands on software development experience.

• Experience developing backend services using .NET Core and C#.

• Experience building modern web UIs using Angular, Blazor, or React.

• Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, including SQL development.

• Experience using GitHub for source control and pull request based collaboration.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.

• Exposure to code quality and security tools (e.g., Qualys, Veracode, linting tools).

• Exposure to cloud environments such as GCP and/or PCF.

• Basic understanding of containerization and Kubernetes concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in AI/ML concepts and intelligent systems.

• Exposure to OCR or document classification solutions.

• Familiarity with event driven or streaming architectures.

• Experience with cloud native applications and modern deployment models.

• Strong desire to grow into more complex technical and design responsibilities
