The Specialist, Software Development and Engineering will play an essential role in the New Employee Recruitment and Development program through the creation and delivery of technical curriculum for the program’s bootcamp and extended 9-month experience. This role will facilitate, organize, and / or deliver technical growth opportunities to 3 NERD cohorts per year beginning with bootcamp through graduation and will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with NERD managers, prospective managers, and STS leadership. The role will also be responsible for helping drive future direction of the program through thorough review and assessment of existing practices, procedures, and growth opportunities resulting in opportunities to drive programmatic change.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience
2+ years experience in technology-focused role(s) at a financial services company
2+ years experience working in a software development role
Demonstrated proficiency and experience creating and facilitating technical training to new employees
Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction
Ability to simplify complex processes and systems and articulate them in a context-sensitive manner
Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated success in a collaborative environment
Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity creating and delivering hackathons or innovation-focused events
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in creating runbook documentation for learning / growth opportunities
Leading or participation in college campus events and recruiting
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
