Senior Specialist, Marketing AI
Your Opportunity
Schwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location.
Marketing Technology & Enablement drives the capabilities that enable Marketing to scale. We connect strategy, technology, data, AI, operations, and execution into an integrated ecosystem that improves marketer productivity, simplifies execution, strengthens governance, and accelerates business outcomes. Our mission is to ensure Schwab's marketing organization has the tools, platforms, processes, and expertise required to deliver exceptional client experiences while operating with greater efficiency and agility.
As part of the Marketing AI & Process team, you will work alongside partners across marketing, technology, risk, and product to help identify, test, and roll out AI and automation solutions that reduce manual work, improve time to market, increase marketing performance, accelerate innovation, and maximize business value across the organization. You will support use cases across content creation, regulatory and compliance review, activation, measurement, testing / QA, analysis, and more — helping capture requirements, document how the work gets done today, and track the results once solutions are live. This is a hands-on role for someone leaning into AI and eager to learn how a large marketing organization operates. You will directly support building AI fluency across Marketing, improving how marketing work gets done, and contributing to the future operating model of Schwab’s marketing organization.
In this role, you will:
- Support adoption of generative, agentic, and predictive AI tools by researching capabilities, sharing examples, and summarizing emerging marketing trends for the team.
- Stay current on emerging trends, best practices, and risk considerations, and share what you learn so the team applies these technologies responsibly and inline with Schwab’s “through Clients’ eyes” philosophy.
- Contribute input to the Marketing AI roadmap by helping test and evaluate new tools and documenting findings.
- Build working knowledge of Schwab’s approved AI tools (i.e. M365 Copilot, Writer, Copilot Studio, GitHub, etc.) and serve as a day-to-day resource for marketers, helping intake questions and route use cases to the right experts.
- Assist with testing and performance tracking, gathering and organizing data that helps measure the business value of AI technology investments.
- Help identify, document, and escalate issues with AI and ML outputs, including hallucinations, privacy, data security, and regulatory compliance concerns.
- Help create and deliver enablement materials — job aids, demos, training sessions, and office hours — that make it easier for teams to use AI tools effectively.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders and technology partners to track requests, capture requirements, and keep projects moving on schedule.
- Reinforce human-in-the-loop practices across Marketing — helping marketers understand where AI can accelerate, scale, and optimize their work, and where human judgment, review, and sign-off remain required.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in product management, marketing operations, marketing technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on exposure to generative, agentic, and predictive AI tools, with interest in applying them to marketing use cases such as content creation, compliance review, activation, or measurement.
- Familiarity with core generative AI concepts and terminology — including large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and multi-step agentic frameworks — with a willingness to deepen that knowledge on the job.
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and comfort operating in a collaborative, fast-moving team environment.
- Interest in applying new technology within a regulated environment, with an awareness of why privacy, data security, and compliance considerations matter.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for spotting manual, repetitive work that could be documented, streamlined, or automated.
- Collaborative working style, with the ability to build relationships and coordinate across marketing, technology, risk, and product partners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to tracking requests and keeping work on schedule.
- Curiosity to continually learn and keep current on AI and Marketing Technology trends, solutions, and use cases — and a willingness to share what you learn with others.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
