Your Opportunity

At Schwab, we are driven by a shared purpose: helping clients achieve a better future. In this role, you will support field enablement and operational effectiveness through strategic change management, field communications, strong execution, and cross-functional collaboration. As a Senior Manager on the SWA Field Enablement & Communications Team (part of the SWA Business Operations & Offer Success Team—BOOST), you will join an agile team that drives change and optimizes business results across Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA).

This role is responsible for creating and executing change management strategies that drive field readiness. This includes doing impact assessments, gathering requirements, writing communications, analyzing data, meeting with stakeholders, building resources, and presenting to large audiences of various levels.

What this person would do

  • Lead and execute high-impact change strategies that translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable plans for client-facing professionals
  • Conduct intake for new work by gathering requirements, clarifying scope, and identifying dependencies and risks to build informed change plans
  • Help define business goals and KPIs before launch, then assess post-implementation results to evaluate field adoption and adjust plans as needed
  • Partner with stakeholders to create change, communication, and training plans: align timing; and ensure the field is prepared for implementation
  • Create field resources and communications that enable change
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and client-facing professionals to maintain a clear pulse on business and field needs
  • Deliver clear, audience-specific updates to senior leaders, partners, and field teams

What you’re good at

  • Lead and execute strategic change plans that translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable messaging and field-ready plans for leaders, partners, and client-facing teams
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional partners, including business, field, risk, control, technology, and communications teams
  • Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to ambiguous or high-pressure situations while managing competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and timelines
  • Translate business needs into compelling change narratives and recommendations grounded in a strong fact base, sound judgment, and a client-centric mindset
  • Use strategic frameworks and project management discipline to create practical delivery plans, integration strategies, and measurable outcomes
  • Facilitate groups effectively, build consensus quickly, and advance decisions with incomplete information or evolving direction
  • Adapt and recalibrate plans as situations change, creating order and focus in dynamic environments
  • Influence and motivate others without direct authority by serving as a coach, bridge builder, and trusted partner
  • Anticipate business needs and develop practical plans to execute priorities effectively

What you have

  • Proven experience (10+ years; 5+ in financial services) in change management or project/program management, with strong strategic thinking and execution skills
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; highly resourceful self-starter with a bias for action and the ability to work with limited direction
  • Client-centric focus, with the ability to keep clients at the forefront of decisions and connect plans and actions to Schwab’s purpose of serving clients
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-ready materials and present to senior audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge inputs, shape plans, and drive decisions across all levels
  • Solid project intake and operational management capabilities, including scoping work, prioritizing initiatives, and managing multiple concurrent efforts
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create executive-ready materials, analysis, and project deliverables
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment in dynamic environments
