Senior Manager, Product Capability & Enablement
Your Opportunity
Schwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location.
The Transformation Management Office (TMO) plays a critical role in accelerating large,
cross-enterprise transformations that drive meaningful business and client outcomes. As
Senior Manager, Product Capability & Enablement, you will lead the design and
operationalization of how product teams across the enterprise build talent, skills, and ways
of working, translating product transformation strategy into scalable frameworks, programs,
and learning experiences that improve how teams make decisions, develop capabilities, and
deliver value.
You will own and evolve enterprise capability and enablement programs, including Talent
Architecture and supporting learning systems, ensuring they are outcome-focused,
actionable, and broadly adopted. In an increasingly AI-driven environment, this role extends
beyond traditional product development practices to support teams building systems that
learn, adapt, and evolve over time. Your focus will include scaling proven methods that
work, building what’s missing, and ensuring learning systems keep pace with emerging
demands.
You will champion change management and readiness efforts, helping teams move from
fragmented, ad hoc approaches to more coordinated, scalable ways of working. This
includes facilitating alignment across distributed teams, establishing feedback loops that
surface what is and is not working, and maintaining momentum through the ambiguity of
enterprise-scale transformation. As a facilitator and relationship builder, you will bring
diverse stakeholders together, enabling productive dialogue, driving alignment, and
influencing without direct authority.
Success in this role means product teams across the enterprise have the frameworks, tools,
and capability to work with greater clarity, consistency, and confidence—including the
ability to design, evaluate, and continuously improve AI-enabled systems—and that the
programs you build continue delivering value that outlast any single initiative.
What you have
• Experience designing and scaling learning programs or capability frameworks in
complex enterprise environments, preferably with product, UX, or technology
organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous organizational challenges into
structured, scalable programs
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Experience with competency frameworks, talent architecture, or skills-based
learning design.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials
and scalable enablement content that’s clear, usable, and durable.
• Experience driving change management and adoption across large or complex
organizations.
• Track record of designing programs, playbooks, and enabling resources built for
adoption and independent operations from the start, not as an afterthought.
Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in UX, product management, product operations,
transformation strategy, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience building learning programs for multi-functional teams across
design, product, and technology.
• Masters degree in learning design, instructional design, organizational development,
information design, or related field.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows relevant to product development.
• Experience incorporating AI and emerging technologies into workforce capability
development.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration and influencing stakeholders in
a matrixed environment. Low ego, adaptable team player.
• Comfort working in ambiguity, with adaptability and a continuous improvement
mindset.
