The Senior Manager, Digital Content Operations & Governance will modernize how Marketing plans, creates, governs, maintains, and optimizes digital content. This lead will establish the operating model, standards, workflows, and enablement practices needed to deliver trusted, reusable, measurable, and AI-ready content at scale.

As part of the Digital Content Supply Chain & Orchestration team, this role will lead Content Operations and support key digital marketing initiatives. The role will turn modern content strategies into practical, repeatable ways of working that improve content quality, governance, reuse, speed to market, and adoption.

The ideal candidate brings deep content operations expertise, strong program leadership, and a proven ability to turn strategy into sustainable practices across people, processes, standards, and technology.

What You’ll Do

The role’s core outcomes are scalable governance, an effective end-to-end lifecycle, and adoption of modern content practices.

Lead Content Operations & Governance

  • Define and drive the content lifecycle, including its strategy, roadmap, operating model, priorities, and success measures.

Establish the Content Lifecycle and Governance Model

  • Define how content is planned, created, reviewed, approved, authored, published, maintained, optimized, and retired.
  • Establish clear roles, decision rights, handoffs, governance checkpoints, and escalation paths.
  • Create and maintain content standards, authoring guidance, playbooks, and governance practices.
  • Simplify fragmented workflows to reduce rework, improve accountability, and manage regulatory and operational risk.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements that increase content quality, reuse, efficiency, and governance to reduce risk.
  • Balance immediate initiative needs with practices that can scale across future digital experiences.

Operationalize Modern Content Practices

  • Define the operational standards and governance requirements for structured, modular, reusable and AI-ready content.
  • Partner with Content Structure & Enablement and Content & Experience Delivery to ensure standards are practical and consistently applied.
  • Help content owners transition from page-based practices to structured, content-centric ways of working.
  • Capture operational feedback and use it to improve lifecycle practices, guidance and controls.

Drive Training, Adoption, and Change

  • Lead change management for new content standards, workflows, governance, and authoring practices.
  • Develop role-based training, onboarding, and enablement resources for content owners, marketers, authors, and agency partners.
  • Measure adoption, identify barriers, and continuously improve guidance, training, and operational support.

Support Critical Digital Marketing Initiatives

  • Activate content standards, lifecycle governance, authoring practices, and training within Moonshot.
  • Define operational acceptance criteria for content quality, governance, authoring readiness, and adoption.
  • Capture implementation learnings and turn them into scalable standards, playbooks, and operating-model improvements.
  • Partner across Marketing, Brand, Digital Experience, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Analytics, and publishing teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in content strategy, digital marketing, communications, information science, business, or a related field.
  • Significant experience leading content operations, content governance, digital content management or enterprise content transformation, including work with modern or headless content management systems.
  • Experience designing and operationalizing content lifecycle processes, standards, governance frameworks, and authoring guidance.
  • Proven success leading organizational change, training, and adoption in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong understanding of structured, modular, reusable, and AI-ready content practices.
  • Experience with content management systems and modern digital authoring workflows.
  • Strong program leadership, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy and business needs into practical operating models, standards, and measurable improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with website modernization, content migration, structured content, or headless content initiatives.
  • Familiarity with taxonomy, metadata, content models, semantic content, SEO, AEO, and AI-assisted authoring.
  • Experience in a regulated organization with compliance, accessibility, privacy, and approval requirements.
  • Experience working across multiple lines of business and with external agency partners.
