This role is responsible for driving automation and intelligent solutions across the ITSM and SRE tooling ecosystem to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and enhance user experience at scale. The individual will design and deliver automation frameworks and AI-enabled capabilities that simplify how users interact with enterprise platforms such as Helix, MyIT, and Flexera. This position plays a key role in identifying process improvement opportunities through data and automation, building solutions that enable users to take action more efficiently. The role operates across team, platform, and enterprise scopes, combining hands-on engineering with strategic thinking to deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Design and implement automation solutions across ITSM and SRE processes to reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and enable scalable operations.
- Develop and deploy intelligent solutions, including AI-enabled agents, to enhance how users discover, interpret, and act on data within platforms such as Helix, MyIT, and Flexera.
- Analyze platform data and workflows to identify process improvement opportunities, driving continuous improvement through automation and user-centric solution design.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand pain points, translate requirements into solutions, and deliver capabilities that improve overall user experience and operational efficiency.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
- 8 plus years of experience in enterprise technology, platform engineering, software engineering, ITSM tools, SRE, DevOps, automation, or related technology operations roles.
- 5 plus years of experience supporting or improving enterprise service management, workflow, observability, SRE, IT operations, or platform tooling environments.
- 4 plus years of hands on experience designing, building, implementing, or supporting automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, or improve data quality.
- Experience analyzing platform data, workflows, service processes, or operational processes to identify improvement opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience developing or integrating solutions using scripting, workflow automation, APIs, low code platforms, integration tools, or enterprise automation frameworks.
- Experience working with cross functional stakeholders to understand pain points, define requirements, and deliver capabilities that improve user experience or operational outcomes.
- Experience with software delivery, release, testing, or quality practices that support reliable and compliant technology change.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as BMC Helix, Remedy, MyIT, Digital Workplace, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise service management platforms.
- Experience with IT asset management, software asset management, Flexera, CMDB, discovery, data quality, or configuration management processes.
- Experience designing or supporting AI enabled agents, conversational experiences, intelligent automation, knowledge retrieval, recommendation engines, or data driven assistant capabilities.
- Experience with SRE practices, incident management, problem management, change enablement, service reliability, or operational readiness.
- Experience with API based integrations, data pipelines, reporting, dashboards, or platform analytics.
- Experience with Agile delivery, backlog refinement, story writing, acceptance criteria, PI planning, or iterative product delivery.
- Experience with test automation, CI/CD, DevOps practices, source control, or release automation.
- Experience working in financial services, regulated technology environments, or environments with strong risk, security, audit, and compliance expectations.
- ITIL Foundation, cloud, automation, Agile, or platform specific certifications are a plus.
