Schwab Technology Services enables the future of how clients manage their money by delivering innovative and reliable technology products and services. As a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer on the Retail Web Technology Search Team, you will help shape scalable, high-performing search experiences across client-facing digital platforms. Your work will improve search relevance, speed, and usability, directly influencing how clients find information and engage with Schwab’s digital experiences.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, designing and developing user interfaces, APIs, microservices, and backend services using Angular, JavaScript, C#, .NET Core, HTML, and CSS. You will guide architecture and system design decisions, enhance search indexing, ranking, relevance, and performance, and integrate AI-powered capabilities and intelligent workflows where they can create meaningful outcomes. You will also strengthen application reliability through automated testing, CI/CD practices, monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerting, and thoughtful production support.

Success in this role requires strong problem solving, sound technical decision making, and the ability to adapt as technologies and business priorities evolve. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, and business partners to assess tradeoffs, deliver secure and scalable solutions, and influence technical direction across the Search ecosystem. Through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, you will help engineers strengthen their skills while advancing engineering quality and innovation.

What you have


Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 8+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Experience developing applications using Angular, JavaScript, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs
  • Experience designing and building microservices and cloud-native applications
  • Experience building Single Page Applications using Angular or a comparable framework
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases and applying performance optimization techniques
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, testing practices, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools and applying AI or machine learning concepts to software development
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively across distributed teams

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing, or supporting enterprise search platforms
  • Experience improving search indexing, ranking, relevance, and application performance
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or comparable cloud services
  • Experience using Splunk or comparable monitoring and observability platforms
  • Experience applying test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and modern testing frameworks
  • Experience developing secure, scalable, and high-performing systems in financial services or another regulated environment
  • Experience integrating Generative AI or machine learning capabilities into production applications
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, automation frameworks, responsible AI practices, and intelligent workflows
  • Ability to lead architecture and system design decisions while clearly communicating technical tradeoffs
  • Ability to mentor engineers, promote engineering standards, and strengthen collaboration across teams
  • Adaptability when responding to changing technologies, requirements, and delivery priorities

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
