shape the technical direction of our modernization and Cloud initiatives. We are recruiting to hire an experienced
Aerospike NoSQL Database Engineer with a strong track record of database administration, performance tuning, and
automation. The Portfolio Management Technology (PMT) group champions innovative and scalable technology
solutions to deliver a superior client communication experience, through multiple delivery channels. The Aerospike
Admin and Ops team supports large scale, mission critical enterprise platforms that demand high performance, highly
available NoSQL data stores to maintain production stability and regulatory confidence. The Aerospike Database
Engineer role is critical to ensure end to end ownership of database administration, automation, and operational
excellence. In this position, you will manage and mature our Aerospike database infrastructure and operations. Your
responsibilities will include administration and maintenance of Aerospike NoSQL database, performance tuning,
capacity planning, automation of database tasks, and improving our overall database operations pipeline.
- Administration – Responsible for administration and maintenance of Aerospike NoSQL database including upgrades,
- OS patching, and support activities.
- Automation – Create scripts to automate database maintenance and administration tasks using SALT, Ansible, Python,
- or Bash.
- Performance – Benchmarking new features and their impact to the application availability and performance tuning
- activities.
- Capacity Planning – Participate in database capacity planning activities for new application features.
- Design Review – Review application database design and provide critical feedback to application teams.
- Cloud/Kubernetes – Aerospike in the cloud setup in Kubernetes cluster.
- Monitoring – Build application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts for early determination of the
- issues using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or similar tools
What you have

Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with administration and support of Enterprise NoSQL databases like Aerospike, Mongo
- 3-5 years of experience in writing automation scripts, building application dashboards for proactive monitoring,
- setting up Alerts for early determination of the issues
- In depth knowledge of database concepts, replication strategies and high availability architectures
- Experience with database backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning activities
- Familiarity with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning
- Development experience in one or more programming languages such as .Net, Java, Powershell, Python, and
- Bash
- Working knowledge of logging aggregation tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or similar tools
- Previous experience in GitHub and Harness
- Previous experience in using SALT or Ansible for automation of operational database tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and working knowledge of implementing deployments in Kubernetes to reduce downtime and risk.
- Exposure with automation efforts of several aspects of database operations; for example: automate deployment,
- configuring monitoring dashboards, and setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or Harness.
- Experience with cloud providers like GCP, AWS.
- Experience working with source code repositories (i.e. GIT, Bitbucket)
- Financial services industry experience
- Project Management experience using Scrum or Kanban
