Your Opportunity

Schwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

As a Scrum Master within Move Money Engineering under Schwab Technology Services, you will play a critical role in enabling high-quality, predictable delivery across multiple Agile teams supporting a Move Money organization modernization journey focussing on building capabilities to accept, execute, and orchestrate posting of client and firm money movement activity for Schwab affiliates and business lines.

In this role, you will apply deep Agile expertise to drive outcomes by fostering strong team accountability, enabling consistent delivery cadence, and guiding teams toward continuous improvement. You will influence how teams operate by promoting transparency, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in complex environments with cross-team dependencies. You will use approved AI-enabled tooling across the AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) to improve planning, refinement, risk identification, delivery insights, documentation, and continuous improvement while reinforcing responsible use, appropriate human oversight, and organizational standards. By coaching teams and stakeholders, you will help improve product quality, reduce delivery friction, and accelerate value realization.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. You will serve as a trusted partner to Product Owners and leaders, helping align priorities, remove impediments, and ensure teams are focused on delivering meaningful, usable outcomes. You will partner with and support the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to identify, standardize, and scale effective Agile and AIDLC practices across Scrum teams, strengthening cross-team alignment and program-level execution. You will also establish and monitor team-level delivery and health indicators to surface trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, with a focus on team outcomes rather than individual activity. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, support evolving business needs, and elevate team performance through coaching and mentorship will be critical to driving impact at scale.

What you have

  • Strong understanding of payment lifecycle processes and experience in implementation of large complex applications across Money Movement applications.
  • Proven ability to apply Agile practices, metrics, and frameworks to improve delivery predictability, team effectiveness, and product quality
  • Experience using approved AI-enabled engineering and delivery tools to support AIDLC activities such as planning, backlog refinement, dependency and risk analysis, documentation, quality improvement, and delivery insights
  • Proven ability to define, interpret, and monitor team-level delivery and health metrics to identify trends, surface risks, and guide data-informed continuous improvement without relying on individual activity monitoring
